With it's talons bared, the tree monster advances upon the innocent photographer......yeah! yeah! As my critical school reports used to say; 'he has an overactive imagination'. Actually these are the roots of a strangler vine that will gradually envelope this tree in The Domain near Sydney Harbour.

With fall color around the corner I'm posting this image from 2014 for the first time.

Trying out some Halloween like tangles for a class I am teaching on 10/29.
Inspired by eclecticstudios and dobriendesigns.
Some t-girl housewife pics from a few years ago.
So who needs a maid outfit or an apron to look sexy? :))
The little mini waterfall underneath Rapunzels Tower in the Magic Kingdom. I think it's there to get people thinking about flowing water. . . . . what with the new bathrooms right next door. ;)
A load of old tights washed and ended up in a tangle. Now they looked boring so I've played around with the colour.

Dingalan is the southernmost town of Aurora; it is separated from the rest of the province by the Sierra Madre mountains. Nestled at the foot of the Sierra Madre Mountain Range, Dingalan's terrain is generally hilly and mountainous.
Large boulders of black igneous rock litter the mountainside all the way from the borders of the province, despite the absence of volcanoes in the area. Some local residents suggest that the rocks must date back to prehistoric times, since they've been there as long as the residents' ancestors could remember.
I saw this little guy on a credit card. I decided to have a line of them holding hands. You can make them tall or short. Fat or thin. Use your imagination! Have fun.

This is my new tangle, Wingfrond. In a way it’s kinda like Mooka met Printemps, and grew some wings ;)
Named in memory of my friend Fern. More backstory at 7F5R.com: bit.ly/wingfrond
Wingfrond is very organic in that it may be drawn like Mooka.. Variations featured in this series of photos include:
- Dingbatz Wingfrond
- Circular Wingfrond
- Wingfrond vs. Joki
...
Please feel free to refer to the step outs to recreate Wingfrond in your tangles. However I reserve my rights to these images and they should not be copied or reproduced. Thank you! - Debbie New CZT 18
Looks like Sleeping Beauty's Castle! Tangled and impenetrable!! This is the jungle that is our winter view from the back windows. Since we left for TN, almost every leaf is down and now you can see all of the work that needs doing down there!! LOTS of cleanup to do. Any volunteers???
One of four tangle patterns inspired by the work of Faberge, created for Easter 2012. More patterns and other artwork can be found on my blog: perfectly4med.co.uk
[to bring together into a mass of confusedly interlaced or intertwisted threads, strands, or other like parts]
against a brilliant backdrop
This dark, tangled web is an object named SNR 0454-67.2. It formed in a very violent fashion — it is a supernova remnant, created after a massive star ended its life in a cataclysmic explosion and threw its constituent material out into surrounding space. This created the messy formation we see in this NASA/ESA Hubble Space Telescope image, with threads of red snaking amidst dark, turbulent clouds.
SNR 0454-67.2 is situated in the Large Magellanic Cloud, a dwarf spiral galaxy that lies close to the Milky Way. The remnant is likely the result of a Type Ia supernova explosion; this category of supernovae is formed from the death of a white dwarf star, which grows and grows by siphoning material from a stellar companion until it reaches a critical mass and then explodes.
As they always form via a specific mechanism — when the white dwarf hits a particular mass — these explosions always have a well-known luminosity, and are thus used as markers (standard candles) for scientists to obtain and measure distances throughout the universe.
