I find it hard to draw inspiration during this transition from winter into spring. Nature seems to be taking its time waking up this year. I'm getting tired at looking at bare branches, monochromatic fields of greyish snow soon to be a slushy brown. Not much new growth visible yet. But when it comes on, I hope to be ready for that explosion of green!

The image is what's clinging to the side of my house, below is how it will look in a few weeks:

Tangle Creek in Yellowstone National Park, WY

A loud buzz alerted us to the large flies feeding on the Leucopogon flowers, moving from one flower to another on the shrubs. They feed while flying. Sometimes they rest their feet on the flowers but their wings are still moving fast enough to blur.

Tangle free for now. Looks like it will be some work keeping them at bay once dry! Might need to layer it.

This is a high-resolution, black-and-white photograph of a person with their face partially obscured by a mass of tangled, root-like branches. The branches, which appear to be dry and weathered, cover the person's forehead, nose, and part of the mouth, creating a surreal and haunting effect. The person's lips are slightly parted, and their eyes are not visible due to the branches. The texture of the branches is rough and uneven, contrasting starkly with the smooth, almost porcelain-like skin of the person's face. The person is wearing a high-necked, long-sleeved garment that appears to be made of a thick, ribbed fabric, adding to the overall dramatic and eerie atmosphere of the image. The background is completely dark, making the person and the branches the focal point. The lighting is soft yet directional, highlighting the textures and shadows of the branches and the person's face. The photograph is highly stylized, combining elements of nature and human form in a striking and thought-provoking manner.

It’s always sad to see this kind of thing; I spotted this monofilament fishing line horribly tangled in a tree near a local lake recently. It was a dreary day, but my flash made the line stand out.

New Tangled the Series Rapunzel wardrobe doll set...just kidding haha! Actually this is my OOAK doll set. I've made the blue night dress, so I put it into the original doll box.

But I really hope Disney could make Rapunzel a new wardrobe doll set!

This tangle pattern was inspired from some of the iron work supporting the benches on Cromer pier. I've included my reference photo in my blog post.
