I had passed over this image last autumn after taking it in the vegetable garden. The rain, as well as the colours and the damaged area, tightly cropped, presented a nice abstract image while still being a straight shot (except for the usual image post-processing) and, of course, there is the Red Rule to follow. - JW

Tech Details:

Taken using a hand-held Nikon D7100 fitted with a Tamron 90mm f/2.8 Macro1:1, White Balance set to Sunny Day, Aperture priority mode, f/7.1, 1/25 sec. PP in free Open Source RAWTherapee from Nikon RAW/NEF source file: scale image to 9000x6000, reduce exposure, boost black level, enable shadows/highlights tool and significantly boost highlight recovery, increase vibrance, increase contrast, apply noise reduction, save. PP in free Open Source GIMP: adjust tone curve to darken bottom 20% of the curve, hold the middle range at default and increase the brightness of the top 20%, slightly increase contrast, boost overall saturation slightly and then select the green channel and increase its saturation as well as darken the green channel, add a black layer and remove the central area using a large soft-edged eraser tool and reduce its opacity to create a custom shaped vignette, save, scale to 6000x4000 (my preferred size for prepping images for posting online), add fine black and white frame, add bar and text, scale to 1800 wide for posting.
