The tag game is running rampant on flickr and I done been tagged by:

I am supposed post the 5th picture in my 5th folder.... no matter what it is.

my 5th folder is labeled "2003" and has only more folders, so

the 5th folder under 2003 is labeled "2003-11-09",

and the 5th picture is.....OMG.....ME!

I had no intention of posting my own portrait on flickr.....I debated on renaming folders and other options, but decided to be honest and play fair.

This was 5 years and 50 lbs ago - I do not look like this anymore. so to prevent myself from feeling like some kind of desperate, match.com cheat, I am posting a more recent photo. Oh the pain.... its amazing how 5 years and 4000 calories/day can destroy a man.

This reminds me of when the USPS wanted to make an Elvis postage stamp ^_^

Now I have to "Tag" 5 additional people. So I decided to use the following method:

This card is inspired by a lovely card by Mary MacAskill ( I think it was featured in Cards) and I can't find the link right now.

The butterflies are stamped on kraft (ranger walnut stain) and colored with prismas color pencils to give it the same distressed look as from the kraft tag.

I am Pisces/Aries cusp... my eyes are very small... so most of the time people think that i am sleepy... which is not true many times... :P I love chocolates and ice-cream.... -----> my first bike was hero puch and i used to roam a lot on it.... sometimes i used to steal petrol from my Dad's scooter... i even rode it with 4 persons on it... including me... it was fun... once me and my frnd was going on bike and they was a camel cart in front.... i told him that i will take a cut and dodge the cart at last moment... but i kept thinking only and den... boooommm.... we hit the cart and found ourself on road... luckily noone got hurt... i guess that was most foolish of me... :D

-----> I love adrenaline rush... In my school days I was in NCC air wing and flied Guilders many times... I have done lot of shooting (includes .22, 7.63 SLR, revolver, pistol, .303 single and double barrel, skeet shooting, target shoot) and camping.... white river rafting in Gang... cliff diving... paragliding... I wanna do bungie jumping and sky diving...

----->I am very choosy making frnds..... generally I go by my instincts..... if i dont like a person in first meeting i never bother to get involved with him..... I have very few frnds but they are with me from past 9 yrs... they are most imp for me after my family.....

-----> I write diary, not everyday but whenever am tensed and disturbed; jotting down everything makes me feel better.... and when I read it later, I laugh out loudly that how stupid I was.. :D I like rains very much and love to get drenched in it.... love to ride bike wen its raining... making paper boats and set them free when it rains.....

-----> after all these years I realized that

a) dont think so much abt issues and incidents that happen in your life... just let them go out of your head.. and your life will be much more peaceful

b) respect other and they will respect you... dont be harsh on anyone.. i knw its bit hard to follow.. even i'm trying to follow it..

c) live your life as its for one day only.... who knows wat will happen tomorrow... and most imp last two points are...

d) Don't marry the person you want to live with, marry the one you cannot live without..... but whatever you do, you'll regret it later..... :P

e) If you keep your feet firmly on the ground, you'll have trouble putting on your pants..... :P (the last two were added to put smile on your face... actually these lines are the only interesting thing in this huge writeup... )

-----> lastly I wanna thank you all for commenting on my pics and adding them to your faves.... its a constant motivation to me... and a way to improve my work... I have met few wonderful photographer on flicker and even joined some of them in group shoots..... thank you all for your constant support and encouragement... :)

1/I was nearly expelled from school at the age of 12 for writing a letter complaining vehemently about the frequency of spam on the menu. I was there after thought of as a traitor. I still do not believe that spam and tomatoes 4 nights a week is an acceptable evening meal particularly if you hate spam.

2/I My brother and I used to hitch our trousers up way above the navel line when waiting table at our family hotel. It gave us some amusement to allow the guests to think that this was an integral part of the staff dress code. 3/I have a reputation for being a rubbish boyfriend.

4/I believe Chet Baker appreciation should be a compulsory part of the school curriculum. The world would be a happier place.

5/ / If I have twenty things to do in a day, I will probably start 15 of them at once. I will then chisel a little bit off each task until they are done. Im not sure how effective this is and I suspect it says something about my attention span.

6/I think astrology is an elaborate hoax.

7/I have a good sense of direction but zero ability to read a map. This is great because my ability to read small things has abandoned me since my eyesight has deteriorated. I rely heavily on the technique of travelling in a general direction until such point as you are lost again, then asking directions. It works for me.

8/I used to post pictures with little regard to how they would be received. Now that matters to me. I am wary that I may have sold my soul to comments and faves. Something I need to think about this year. Flickr can be a fickle mistress.

9/I have a van called Barry and have a childish tendency to anthropomorphise.

10/ I strongly identify with Larry David in Curb your enthusiasm. He looks at life the same way I do but expresses himself with more wit. 11/ I have successfully employed the Heimlich manoeuvre on a real person. (For that I think I should receive a big pat on the back.)

12/I have a tendency to try and stand up after being cross legged and falling over because one of my legs has become numb.

13/ I attribute one of my favourite sayings to my father. When talking to rather self obsessed people, as one often does, he muses that they should say the following: ‘ That’s enough talking about me now. Lets talk about you......What do you think of me?’ This never fails to make me smile.

14/ I think point and shoot compact cameras are massively underrated. ( I wish they would make one full frame that shoots grainless at iso 6400 and opens to f.1.2 though)

15/ I regularly make up for poor photos by turning them into black and white and photo-shopping the hell out of them. There. I said it.

16/I hate having my photo taken.

this is the first tag I've finished

A late-running westbound Amtrak 'Wolverine' service from Pontiac and Detroit crosses the Grand Elk Railroad's former NS/Conrail line to Grand Rapids at BO Tower in Kalamazoo, Michigan. The NYC searchlight signal heads here have been bagged while new signals are cut in. BO Tower manually controlled these as well as the crossing gates in the immediate vicinity, and on the date of this photo, operation of those gates was in the process of being automated. The tower operator now only controls the interlocking itself, and with work such as this ongoing to upgrade Amtrak's Michigan Line for higher speeds, it appears that the tower is not much longer for this world.

I love how the stamps from the Together set make perfect little tags.

My card was inspired by this fun Cocktail apron from Heavenly Hostess: www.heavenlyhostess.com/aprons_praise1.html

The pattern reminded me of the Wavy Leaf Pattern Background. I used my Giga scallop punch for the top of the tag and corner of my 'apron pocket'. I stamped the Together stamp a second time and trimmed the sentiment for the pocket. I finished with an apron lace punch, black velvet ribbon and a flower embellishment.
