The decor inside The Village Pub at Woodside, CA is a little old school with red velvet upholstery and dark wood panels, but it's cozy and comfortable.
Hello everyone, happy Sundays to you : )
light here.... light there... light can be everywhere... so long as we are looking for it...
this was part of the table setting prepared for a very dear friend two Sundays ago, to celebrate her birthday together during a brunch at our current home...

I took this at the end of December when we were celebrating the 50th anniversary of my brother in law & his wife. Using a cropped version below for Macro Monday's folded theme.

A good place to people watch.
7/366 - All About Me
I like to set the table, although not every day.
Sunday lunch today will just be baked salmon, potatoes roasted with rosemary and green beans, followed by cheese and biscuits.
The flowers aren't real, coz if they were, they'd have cost a fortune, instead of the £4 I paid at B&M :)

A thrift store find that I've had for a while now, turned out to be a great puzzle, and complete! Slow going at first with all the similar shades of purple, but I was in no rush.
My first Jumbo puzzle. Good quality. Pieces fit well and were in good shape. A dab of glue here and there to fix some peeling.

The Tampa Train Station was restored by a local grass roots group. In the waiting room is a display of artifacts from the late grate Atlantic Coast Railroad.
A place setting from when dining on a train meant DINING.

We're Here! setting our tables.

Set for Christmas - Day 14
Some more traditional colours, albeit rather muted.
Today we have homemade chicken and vegetable soup, followed by a salad of some sort, i.e. open the fridge and see what's there :))
during a quiet lunch at a restaurant in grünwald, a simple rose in a glass jar caught my eye. there was something timeless in the way its soft petals glowed under the gentle light, a delicate presence in an intimate setting. as i captured the moment, i thought of my wife—the rose was like a quiet gesture of love in the middle of our day, reminding us of life’s beautiful, unspoken moments.

"I'm a little teapot
Short and stout
Here is my handle
Here is my spout.
When I get all steamed up
Hear me shout
Tip me over
and pour me out!"

What's NOT to love about this simple, spontaneous shot,
taken at a wonderful B&B outside in a screened-in breakfast nook in Rockport, Mass, two years ago.
from Wikipedia, "The Teapot Song was originally written by George Harold Sanders and Clarence Z. Kelley when trying to teach a tap dance routine to children. George felt the song encouraged natural pantomine.

The Place du Tertre is a square in the 18th arrondissement of Paris, France. With its many artists setting up their easels each day for the tourists, the Place du Tertre is a reminder of the time when Montmartre was the mecca of modern art. At the beginning of the 20th century, many painters including Pablo Picasso, Amedeo Modigliani, and Maurice Utrillo were living there, some at the nearby Le Bateau-Lavoir.
