I went for lunch in The Black Jug pub in Horsham with some friends today - I love the pattern of the grain and the smooth surface of this table top.

This is the AFTER picture of a kid's table I repainted. I used Modge Podge on the colored detailed -- it's fabric. To see the BEFORE picture go here: blogofncook.blogspot.com/2011/01/nates-table.html
My grandparents sent us some furniture they've had since they were newlyweds.♥
This table has a cover, so the tabletop is in near mint condition. I have rarely seen this sight, and promptly put the cover on. haha! Even the leaves of the table have covers. I wish people still took pride in their belongings and we weren't such a disposable society.

Our Christmas table in 2009. The pieces of china were gifts from my Norwegian cousins.
The name of the china is "God Jul".
You can tell Dana has come home when... She's taking graphic design in Medicine Hat but comes home for Christmas and a few holidays. This summer she's back for the summer working at a design firm here in Regina.

GONE BUT NOT FORGOTTEN -This little coffee table is super-cute. Hailing from the late 50s or 60s, the tapered wood legs are topped with pink laminate which has thin lines delineating a diamond pattern. The original bubble-gum pink has been faded by sun exposure to a pale, understated color.
The sculptural, porous form of Polyhedra Modular Coffee Tableᵀᴹ finds its inspiration in the micro world of organic bone structures as revealed by Scanning Electron Microscope images.
The complex geometry is derived from Weaire-Phelan space packing structure, and is made up of interlocking dodecahedrons and tetra-decahedrons. These have been rotated and split at an angle that creates a seemingly random pattern, yet it is made up of only five different shapes. Multiples of the five shapes are effortlessly assembled to one another using neodymium magnets. This enables users to playfully create their own randomly shaped coffee table. One could describe it as “post-rational” Lego for grown-ups.
