My brothers and I took over the Thanksgiving preparation this year, giving us new appreciation of just how lazy we've been for the last few decades. The spinach, pear, and blue cheese salad with candied pecans is Ken's doing. Assorted mashed starch and vanilla cranberry sauce by Andrew. I'm responsible for the lopsided turkey and the stuffing--I won't be plating any five star dinners, clearly, but I'm pleased to say the bird wasn't dry.

This is the first pic in the set/series "Class Reunion " of my class from Nursing School. There were sixteen of us there, and Barbara hosted it at her house. We had fun trying to figure out who everyone was, since it had been years since many of us had seen each other. There's a pic of me further on with two of my best friends from school.
A friend of mine made this table - a lovely piece of furniture. I really should have taken a picture of the whole thing. However, there are several very homey sayings all around it.

I missed shooting this field and Table Butte by one day but gleaned this C62 at rest in the trade yesterday morning while out shooting (8-4-2015). This is one of my favorite sights amongst the Blue Buttes in northeastern McKenzie County.

Joanne had a nice eight foot picnic table that was a Mothers Day present about 20 years ago - it needed a redo so I brought it to where the tools are - my garage!.
With the help of my neighbor - I took it apart, turned the boards over as the original "up" side was like the Grand Canyon. The ends were pretty cracked - so now it is now a six-foot and 10 inch table!
We sanded the boards a bit, plugged the old screw holes with a 1/4" dowel, stained it with a UV Cedar Tone and am VERY HAPPY with the results!
Total cost - about 1/2 of a gallon of stain - $10!
