Well… after three weeks of Flickr absence… I’m back!
I really wish that I had a whole bunch of new images to upload to my stream today… but unfortunately I don’t. I’ve been so busy trying to meet the deadlines at the office… and trying to complete some much-needed home renovations… that I haven’t managed to take any new and interesting photographs during this entire time.
I did manage to get out on Saturday afternoon though… I was really hoping for a nice cloudy, beach sunset… but unfortunately it was not to be. After shooting lots of nothingness just before, during, and just after the sunset… I dejectedly climbed back into my car and started the drive back home.
Then… on a whim… I decided to take a drive along Table Mountain road… hoping that they’d switched on the big spotlights that light up the mountain… so that I might try to capture a nice shot of that. But then… just as I got to this hairpin bend… I noticed another car coming down the mountain… and BING… suddenly a light went on in my head… forget about the mountain spotlights Paul… you should try to shoot the car headlights instead!
I did... and this is what I shot.

After I got this table & chair set www.flickr.com/photos/24020302@N05/11076175193/ I decided I wanted a bigger table as well, so I asked the seller to make me one to match the set, & this is it. The chairs work with either table, so I have a lot of versatility. They're really nicely made & are the perfect size for my MH girls (and my other same size dolls)
From the Sutherland Trail in Catalina State Park. Tucson lies beyond the distant ridge. A single massive saguaro on the near ridge at lower right.
It’s been a damp, dreary November day today so I chose to take my daily photo indoors & adjust the lighting.

I recommend clicking on the expansion arrows icon (top right corner) to go into the Lightbox for maximum effect.

Amazing sunset light displays Devil's Peak, Table Mountain, the 12 Apostles and Lion's Head in all it's glory. This photograph is a stitch of 7 vertical images. As this is my 100th upload on flickr, I thought it should be of my favourite place!
I think I might go a little nuts if I don't get out with the camera soon!!
Have a nice weekend everyone!
Table Rock is a distinctive peak near the Linville Gorge of North Carolina, providing excellent hiking opportunities along part of the Mountains to Sea Trail. This shot taken from another section of that trail located on the Chimneys.
I haven't posted a WIP photo in quite a long time, but I was surprised how far I got with this model using nothing but table scraps. On to bricklink to finish her! Can you name the aircraft?

The theme of group "Smile on Saturday! :)", on November 18 2023, is to take a picture of an "OBJECT WITH LEGS", NO living creatures.
John already mentioned 'table' and 'chair', but also: cabinet, bed, garden box on legs, tripod, compass, scissors... anything you can think of but it can't be a living being.
AND FURTHERMORE: no dolls or stuffed toys, little figures or figurines, statues... so, no figures of human beings or animals....
