NTH Synthesis explore combinations of electronic sound, video and light. Ranging from organic soundscapes to digital minimalism, their music is influenced by all things electronic.

For ‘Interferences’, visuals are created via a hybrid system that uses analog video feedback, digital processing, object manipulation and generative forms. Custom software provides close interaction between audio, video and light, creating improvised realtime visual music.

Cotton plays an important role in our lives. It is unique because it is both a fiber and food crop. In the United States, we grow nearly 18 million bales (which weigh 500 lbs. each) every year. We use it in our clothing and household items. It’s also common ingredient in some of the foods we eat, such as salad dressings and snack foods. I found this cotton a couple of weeks ago while touring an antebellum plantation here in Tennessee. Cotton, like every other plant, is composed of cellulose fibers. The cellulose, which is a polysaccharide, is built by dehydration synthesis reactions. During this process, monomers join together into other monomers, disaccharides or polymers and lose their water molecules.

Thank you for visiting my flickr site. I do not charge anything for my pictures. I do ask, however, that if this is a picture of your loved one (or yourself) and you enjoy it, please make a donation to the Lake Erie Regiment Winter Guard (donation button is at leregiment.org). I am a former member of their Drum & Bugle Corps, and would like any appreciation of these photos to go to them, and not myself.
