Just one diver shot at 11 fps. And after I spent an hour selecting and masking seven layers I remembered that my camera (a Sony A6000) can do this in-camera. Will have to go out there and try doing the same shot in camera to see how well that works.
Setting sunlight on this cold, calm, clear day highlights the beautiful markings on this Long-tailed duck. The two of them just resurfaced after a dive.

For Sliders Sunday, this is a composite made up of six images. The most I've ever captured for real was four duck butts all pointed heavenward at the same time, but ten in a tight group like this, all at the same time, is a bit too much to hope for, so it took a bit of digital doctoring to pull this one off.

Blue and gold and military macaws at Reid Park Zoo, Tucson, Arizona
I'm getting back to normal (or as close to normal as I ever am) and Tania and I spent several hours at the zoo in Reid Park.

Photograph taken at an altitude of One hundred and thirty nine metres, at 10:25am on Thursday 12th September 2013 of Loch Voil, a small freshwater loch approximately five kilometres (3½ miles) in length. and separated from Loch doine by the River Larig. which is drained at its northern end by the River Balvaig at Balquhidder.
This view was taken beside the old stone bridge in the centre of Balquhidder, a small village in the Stirling Council area of Scotland It is overlooked by the dramatic mountain terrain of the Braeds of Balquhidder.

These Black Swans were three of around 50 or 60 swans that called the man-made (Or should that be human-made???) Henley Lake at Masterton "Home"...!
I'm not sure what's floating on the surface; possibly its small Down feathers that have been discarded by the swans as they shed their winter "coats" (assuming swans shed winter coats!).

*was in S'pore and walked to Chinatown, had a long and very humid trip with a heavy camera and very heavy lens... I didn't hv a lot of great shots, but had some interesting ones...When I captured these ladies, I was only captivated by their opposing colours and the fact that they stood out in Chinatown.When I checked the files, their actions were so synchronized, I had to share it as a series... I wanted to do more post work to it (didn't like the busy bg), but was too busy, so a bit of colour correction and here you go...
Male and Female Purple Finches (Carpodacus purpureus) - Cole Harbour, Nova Scotia
It was neat to see this male and female purple finch on the same branch. By the looks of their beaks, they had been sampling some of the berries that were plentiful at this location. I am not sure what they were both looking at in this exact moment, but I appreciated the pose!
