This another batch of pictures I took in one go without even switching the camera off. People sometimes ask me where the compulsion to snap images of everyday mundane views in cities comes from that I seem to possess; well, it's a multitude of things that draws me to it, really.
For one, I see the beauty everywhere - compositions, textures, vanishing points, colour, movement. By photographing them, I am giving these things my own interpretive stamp, I am making them visible for those who normally never consider stopping and taking the time to consider just how fabulous everything around us actually looks if only you put it in the right frame of composition and perspective.
Many times, people who see my images don't even make the connection between them and a reality they may be seeing daily; this usually leads to exclamations like "What! I can't believe this is OUR local bus depot - I've never given it a second glance in my life, and I drive past it every day!" So, I think I'm doing this in order to give people an opportunity to actually start seeing the world they inhabit.
On another note, I personally am always hungry for images just like mine from places I know nothing about; how often have I been searching the web for images to get an impression of "Comodoro Rivadavia, Argentina", or "Paysandu, Uruguay" - and I mean this kind of imagery like I'm producing here. I want to know everything, no matter how unlikely it would be to find its way into a travel guide. Is there an old, red Toyota under a bridge in Warrington, Cheshire? Show me! But do it with love.

On the first friday after the lockdown of the Danish society due to the intake of the coronavirus causing COVID-19, I took a 7.5km walk through central Copenhagen with my phone camera. I usually don't post phone pictures - but these were too extraoordinary not to share.
In the timespan 2:30AM to 3:30AM, I took these photos on the very empty streets and squares of Copenhagen - a place usually filled with people partying, switching between bars, pubs or clubs, grabbing a late night snack or heading home. This night was very different.
These are historic times - and should I say so myself: These are historic pictures.
A random snapshot of the switch frog on the former Mississippi Central Railroad, now Canadian National Railway's Central Subdivision at the abandoned Walmart Distribution Center spur track in Brookhaven, Mississippi that was never in service for Walmart decided to use its large fleet of big box trailer semi trucks instead... what a waste.
Canadian National Railway's Central Subdivision was a part of the former Mississippi Central Railroad's main line that ran in-between Natchez and Hattiesburg.
A pretty card, some body scrub which smells absolutely edible and a shower gel in the yummy tesco pink pepper and ginger scent which I am addicted to
I recall when I was a little boy I would stay in the model railroad pavillion at the county fair for 2 to 3 hours at a stretch while my family played on the midway.
This is the Joseph Behr scrap yard #3 switch just east of East Rockford (M.P. 85.6) on the CN Freeport Subdivision in Rockford Illinois. This switch is used most weeknights by the Illinois Railway with trackage rights on the CN. This switch is one of the components that replaced the historic former IC/CB&Q diamond at this location. Throwing this switch requires permission from CN RTC in Homewood and sets the CN main signals for red.

Providing a splash of color in a cement grey world, a Maryland Midland crew switches cement hoppers at the Lehigh Portland Cement plant in Union Bridge, Maryland. Lehigh is the small railroad's largest customer.
The conductor has protected the shove across this busy road and walks ahead into the little yard here for the next move. As the well-worn hopper attests, ag products are the lifeblood of this prairie shortline. Renville, MN, August 26, 2023.
