It's a lousy shot, noisy and fuzzy even after I've resuscitated it to the max... but it is the first swift I've ever got with a camera...next one'll be better I hope. Swallows and martins are here too, but those were less okay than this.

Found at one of only two know nesting sights in the state of Idaho. The two locations are along the same stream approximately 200 meters apart under Fern and Shadow Falls along a small tributary that feeds into the North Fork of the Coeur d'Alene River in north Idaho.Black swifts are considered a Rare 4 in the panhandle of Idaho and a rare 6 in the western part of the state of Idaho.
