Taylor Swift Speak Now Tour Hots Sydney, Australia
You might have heard that Taylor Swift was spotted taking in the view of Sydney yesterday, including even catching a harbour cruise with her friends and family.
Taylor is currently on tour in Australia, and has been hard to spot as she's been doing the rounds.
The Aussie press spotted her boarding a boat in Sydney Harbour for an evening cruise.
Taylor's first Sydney took place tonight at a jam packed Allphones Arena.
The costumes and set were amazing, as a largely teenage girl audience of 14,000 or so cheered and screamed to their teen idol.
Taylor seemed to love playing to the full Allphones Arena, playing five different guitars, two banjos, the piano and a ukele. We also counted at least four different costume changes.
The country music icon is known for writing "13" on her hand before each show because it's her lucky number. Dozens of '13' signs were in the crowd, and some young ladies wrote it on their bodies also.
Taylor told the press "I was born on the 13th. My first album went gold in 13 weeks. My first No.1 song had a 13-second intro and every time I've won an award I've been seated in either the 13th seat, the 13th row, the 13th section or row M, which is the 13th letter," she has previously said.
We wish Taylor well on her amazing career to date and hope she enjoys the rest of her tour and stay in Australia.

Taken at Gonzales Independence Park. I was looking for one of the Blue-faced Ringtail dragonflies that have been observed here recently. I did not find one but enjoyed seeing and photographing some others.
This female Swift River Cruiser was a great consolation prize for missing the Ringtail. I've never seen any of the Cruisers before. It was exciting to see this one fly in and then land near enough for photos.
Swift is a new zine that i have produced that is a showcase for my artwork and photography, its currently for sale in Traveling Man in manchester for a bargin price of 50p, but if you cant get to manchester but you still like a copy i will sent you one for £1 with postage and i will include a little special something to make you smile!
Manufacturer/Model: Swift, Audubon 804 Mod A (Type 1c) 8.5 X 44
Field of View: 8.5 deg = 149 m/1,000 m; APFOV 72 deg
Weight: 1,089 gr
Exit Pupil: 5.17 mm
Serial #/Year of Manufacture: No. 4-688036 = 1968-1970
Notes: Erfle 5 element ocular. Prisms with BaK-4 barium crown glass. The specification "RLE 44" written on inside rim of objective lens housing indicates 82.1% light transmission. Build quality is extremely high - this example has seen a lot of use but is still absolutely clean inside, collimated and has very nice focusing operation. Extremely wide FOV and good sharpness. Image color, however, has a noticeable blue cast which I do not care for. See the description of the Bushnell Rangemaster 7X35 for additional information about this binocular.
Note: If you have a vintage binocular you either wish to sell or would just like some information about, I can be contacted at flagorio@shaw.ca .
This generation of the Suzuki Swift was available in Europe between 1989 and 2004. I've seen this one before in 2017. Looks it has not been used in recent times.

I walked sections of the Crow Wing River multiple times on our recent Minnesota visit including once with my wife, daughters, mother, and father. This is a photo from a solo outing. I tried getting photos of Cobra Clubtails, but along the way I took photos of anything else around including this gem.

A small, fast fox about the size of a housecat. Exact numbers are not known, but their historical range on the Great Plains is decreased 40%. Likely their population follows. One of their main prey species was prairie dogs and their numbers are traces of historical numbers. Found in northwest Oklahoma.
Our beautiful world, pass it on.
New York, NY - Taylor Swift headed out of her Tribeca apartment on Monday night with her younger brother Austin in tow. The Swift siblings were dressed for a night out on the town: Taylor looked effortlessly glamorous in a black, belted trench, mini skirt and bedazzled headpiece, while her brother was suave in a suit.

I was surprised that this small Swift Fox didn't stay in its burrow today, considering how many noisy kids and their parents were at the Zoo. This was the first time I had seen this beautiful creature, despite all my visits to the Zoo. It was constantly on the move, making taking photos really difficult : ). I was delighted to finally see what a Swift Fox looked like.
"The swift fox (Vulpes velox), is one of the smallest foxes in the world, and is only found in the Great Plains of North America. This fox is only about the size of a house cat, standing about 30 cm high and weighing about 2.7 kilograms. The swift fox gets its name because it can reach speeds of up to 40 km per hour. At one time the fox could be found in great numbers all over the Canadian grasslands of Manitoba, Saskatchewan, and Alberta. Their U.S. range included several states between North Dakota and Mexico.
The swift fox is now endangered in 90% of its historical habitat range. The reasons for the disappearance of swift foxes in both Canada and the U.S. are uncertain, but strychnine-poisoning, intensive trapping (in the past), and habitat destruction are thought to be the primary causes.
In 1973, a captive breeding program for swift foxes began in Cochrane, Alberta. The captive breeding program for these foxes, supported by Wildlife Preservation Trust of Canada (WPTC), has been very successful.
With a well-established breeding program, swift fox releases began in 1983. The Swift Fox Recovery Team decided to begin in southern Alberta and Saskatchewan in an effort to reintroduce this species to its native Canadian habitat." From www.thewildones.org/Animals/swiftFox.

Airborne forces show Swift Response
British airborne forces are training alongside NATO counterparts to develop their ability to work together to deliver a Swift Response to international crises.
16 Air Assault Brigade is on Exercise Swift Response, which brings together more than 5,000 personnel from 10 nations and takes place in Poland and Germany between May 27-June 26, 2016.
Under the command of Headquarters 16 Air Assault Brigade some 2,000 troops are taking part, the largest British contingent to deploy on a NATO exercise in 2016. The joint force includes 3 PARA Battlegroup, including engineer, artillery, logistics, signals, medical, provost and ISTAR support; Apache attack helicopters from 4 Regiment Army Air Corps; and RAF Chinook and Puma support helicopters and C-130 Hercules transport aircraft.
The training involves mass parachute jumps and air assault operations as part of a simulated mission to restore stability to a troubled region. It is key to developing interoperability with 82nd Airborne Division and 11e Brigade Parachutiste, the Brigade’s key partners in the US and French armies respectively, as well as wider allies.
