This was photographed from the La Jolla cove area using my converted infrared camera. We get bigger surf in the winter, and it was fun to watch yesterday morning.
I used channel swapping to turn the sky blue. I do use a polarizing filter with infrared because I think it accentuates the effect. Here is a link to a tutorial on playing with infrared images. www.lifepixel.com/photo-tutorials/infrared-photoshop-videos
I've been taking infrared images for at least 15 years with a total of 3 different cameras. It's much easier to take infrared images digitally that it was in the film days. If you like this look, I have an album of infrared photographs, creatively named Infrared.

Happened to have my camera and long lens on, when we walked Ruby along Lunan Bay Beach. I don't know who the guys are, but they were spectacular, the waves were awesome and hey, the sun was shining too. I took hundreds of photos, but here are just 5 of my favourites.

I love a good snow wave photo. Alta had 17 inches of fresh snow yesterday morning and I did a few laps with fellow action sports photographer, Steven Lloyd. I wasn't on the clock but I did take a few pictures of Steve getting barrelled in the pow. There was another 9 inches last night but I skied the last four days and I have office work to do :-(
I headed down to Bovisand beach hoping for a sunset and surf at high tide.
A clean 2ft wave gave me a few ideas for the "Surfs Up" comp. this month. After a few attempts at capturing the surf on the beach I noticed a curved rock catching the sun. This wave from one of the bigger sets gave me this shot....Phew... Dodgy!
Thanks for looking.
