"Only the road and the dawn, the sun, the wind, and the rain,

And the watch fire under stars, and sleep, and the road again."

John Masefield

I saw a photo of AM Radio's Surface build in Ziki Questi's stream (link) that jumped out at me for a couple of reasons. I have a love/hate relationship with SLart but I've always been a fan of AM Radio's uncomplicated builds and have taken some of my fav pics at them. The other reason was the gorgeous lighting that totally reminded me of a rl photo I took just last week (link). So, to make a long story short, I had to take a look myself.

У каждого камня свой рисунок - Each stone has its own surface structure

A block of local limestone used as a barrier to traffic on the edge of an industrial estate. The surace is coloured (I have only upped the contrast, not changed the colours). Is this natural? Mineral staining?? Whatever, it is very fine!

A strange-looking surface.

The Swiss surfacing crew working on the southbound carriageway of the Kessock Bridge, with the paver running on rails and covering the width of both lanes.

This is an early morning shot as the light rays were just peeking through the rocks.
