9 days. 9 storied-building, extremely rough surface. The cyclist symbolizes human abilities. Since the bicycle is a mechanical vehicle, people riding a bike move forward using their own energy. This work wants to remind the viewers that in the modern world people way too often rely on new technologies forgetting about their own abilities and powers and underestimating them. I made this work without using a projector, though initially I'd thought that it would be much more difficult than it turned out to be in the end.

I haven't done any seascapes lately and I'm missing them.

Some time ago I went to my favourite bridge and noticed the very low tide. And I saw this pipe that I've never seen before. A Zen pipe.

BTW: I also notice that Flickr is doing something to the tones and exposure in my images... The tones and exposure are okay though when you view it large on black... strange...

This little Grebe surfaced with his prize, but immediately got a little tense when he saw me lying on the ground behind my camera. He put a couple more feet between us and proceeded to swallow his Oncorhynchus mykiss.

I am losing my inspiration again, it seems every time I build up to taking some of my best shots I lose my photography mojo straight away. I feel as if I have no energy. I'm going to try an battle through it this time though rather than taking a break!

This image shows part of the surface of Chryse Planitia, near the mouth of several of the giant outflow channels carved by massive floods. At this location the channel is much too large to be seen within a HiRISE image, and this shows an area of level plains near the mouth.

A long trough with aeolian (wind-blown) ripples runs through part of the image. This feature likely formed by contraction of the surface layer.

Image cutout is less than 1 km (under 1 mi) top to bottom and the spacecraft altitude was 284 km (176 mi). North is to the right. For full observation details including images with scale bars, visit the source link.

This photograph was taken during a photography trip to Guadalupe Island in Mexico. Guadalupe Island is a white shark hot spot and in my opinion the number 1 location for observing/ photographing great white shark behavior. The gin like water is so clear that it allowed me to experiment with photographing underwater using only natural light. These photos were taken using a combination of surface and submersible cages that were lowered to 10 meters.

Merry Christmas to my dear friends on Flickr. Thank you for all your encouragement, feedback and support over the years, it means a lot to me. I hope you all have a happy, fun and satisfying Christmas and may Santa bring you a nice little surprise on Christmas morning.

Had this idea to explore surface tension with an interesting shape like a raspberry and this one shot came out so nice. Tomorrow, if there's time, I'll try the blackberries.

Some photos of my old MOC. I already posted one photo of this vehicle 10 years ago. These I found on my brickshelf (I totally forgot about this site).
