Celebrating Christmas in Downtown Baker City Oregon
Enjoying the holiday festivities in downtown Baker City including the COVID modified CASA Classic Christmas Gingerbread Tour of Homes. Lots of amazing gingerbread recreations of some of Baker City’s most iconic homes and buildings on display in downtown storefront windows for the month of December. And, there’s a ginger bread man scavenger hunt as well.

The historic Ransone's Drug building in downtown Buchanan, with soda fountain. I may have to follow back up with the current owners, and see if they'd turn the neon on for me to do a shot at dusk.
"Step back in time as you enter the historic Buchanan Fountain & Grill located within Ransone's Drug Store on Main Street in downtown Buchanan. An authentic 1950's era drugstore with original soda fountain the grill is still serving up burgers, hotdogs, blue plate specials, old fashioned shakes and ice cream.
Show your kids what used to exist before fast food. Enjoy sitting at the counter on original swiveling stools, or, in one of the original booths. If you love the nostalgic 1950's you will feel like you have stepped back in time in this one of a kind diner."

Westham Island Herb Farm is a unique farm located in Ladner just 35 minutes from downtown Vancouver.
Visiting the tranquil country setting of Westham Island is like stepping back in time to quiet country roads and good neighbours. Hard to believe this is literally minutes from the hub-bub of the city.
Surrounding a number of rustic country buildings, the family's fields provide a wide variety of farm produce sold directly from our farm throughout the growing season.
The family are strong believers in supporting their community by promoting buying locally grown and produced products. ALL of their produce is grown by them or their neighbours in Delta soil or from other agricultural areas of British Columbia. They also sell locally made products and frequently host events which allow businesses to promote these great items.
British Columbia provides abundant, healthy and flavourful products that are harvested when they should be - when the nutrients and taste are at their peak! The items they offer are the result of the experience, hard-work and talent of members of our farming and craft community and I believe they should not go unnoticed! Stop in today, help support the locals and see what great things they have to offer!

Village Cigars has been in business in Greenwich Village since 1922. We absolutely love this iconic #storefront and chose it as the cover image for our book “Store Front II- A History Preserved”. Not only is the storefront unique in that it is triangular in shape, but its sidewalk out front bears a special plaque marking the location of the Hess Triangle, which at 500-square inches was once the smallest piece of private land in NYC. The former owner of Village Cigars bought the 500-square inch property from the Hess estate for $1,000 in 1938 and kept the plaque and the small piece of New York history.
•
Signed Prints of our photo of Village Cigars are available at our Store Front Photography Exhibition at @villageworksnyc including archival 11x14 inch for $119 and 11x14 inch mounted & framed in white letterbox frame for $199. (Swipe left for 2nd photo showing framed prints). Larger limited edition prints up to 48 inches width are also available upon request.

"Glade Road Growing is a small family farm on leased land across the street from the Heritage Park in Blacksburg. We raise certified naturally grown produce and pasture-raised organic-fed meats and eggs. Yes, we raise it right here in the town limits of Blacksburg.
We believe that healthy food can be grown right here and that engaging in organic farming forms lasting connections within our community, improves the soils directly beneath us and strengthens human health. Our farming methods are based on building and maintaining soil health, biodiversity, and community involvement (read: fun). Come by and introduce yourself- we’d love to meet you." As the war in Ukraine drags on, its nice to see little gestures of support around Dublin. Just a typical street utility cabinet, nicely covered with a message of support with the Ukrainian colours.
Sláva Ukrayíni!
Thoughts & solidarity sent to everyone in Ukraine at this very difficult time as your country is being invaded.
Shame on you Russia - shame, evil & murder of the innocent.
