The highest point in Papua New Guinea.

Oh, the wonders of being able to scan 10x15cm prints at 1600 dpi. The size of this cropped section on the original print is about 3x5 cm, hence the supercool oldskool style graininess.

I had forgot how cool non-digital photography can be.

The Royal Academy of Arts doesn't really need any introduction but I'll provide you with one anyway. Founded by King George III all the way back in December 1768, its centuries long mission has been to promote British art and design via 'education and exhibition' (thanks, wikipedia!). Still going today, independent and privately funded, it seems to be doing this quite well. In terms of the 'education' aspect - the Royal Academy Schools form the oldest art school in Britain, and also . And for the exhibition - they possess a massive collection of art, much of it extremely rare. And they also champion âup-and-comersâ - which they bloody well should do. Go into the courtyard at Burlington House at the moment ad the first thing you shall see will be the current installation, which looks likeâ¦I dunno⦠WW2 era sea mines crossed with a touch of Scandinavian minimalism and some of the decor from a the Casino Night Zone in Sonic The Hedgehog 2

Anyhow, within this hallowed institution's hallowed courtyard you shall find The Keeper's House. It is called this because it was traditionally the place where the academy's Keeper lived (the current ones doesnât live there though, which seems sad considering itâs full of supercool shit). The Keeper did a lot of stuff (though looking after bees and errant footballs were not included) - I think mainly it comes down to administrative work and âkeepingâ the art collection. Keeping it looking pretty andâ¦educational maybe.

And, within The Keeperâs House is The Shenkman Bar (named after a notable RA architect, I think?). We were invited down to said bar because of a man/cocktail genius/excellent human being named Fabio Fritolli - who I met some months back at the Cichetti bar, and who I now count as a friend. Fabio is a bar consultant - and since this, his current project, was coming to an end, he wanted us to come down and help him see it off in style! All I can say is that everything is SERIOUSLY on fucking point and that Iâd love to know where he gets his ideas from. We're all very much looking forward to Fabio's next project.

We're so smitten! The Kloo family is in the amazing "Picture of everything" by the supremely wicked Howard Hallis.

That's as close to immortality as it gets...

Had lost the coordinates for us a little while ago and had to search long and hard, but alas...

If you don't know about the Picture of Everything you must visit...this must easily qualify as the worlds most addictive time fritter piece of genius:

You'd expect Juliet to step out on the Balcony

my polo was behind the gallardo , so i jumped out for this pic on a red light , shanghai near xintendi , nice sound from the lambo !

This ancient astronomical observatory makes up in hacker ethos and sheer weirdness what it may lack in efficacy.

My first scan from a collection of 12 vintage photo prints of women's jackets, presumably designed at Mee Chun Studios, Hong Kong in the 1950s. On the back, the number 8.

The collection includes vintage fabric samples and order forms, along with the set of photographs. I got this collection from the "fire sale" of an art installation by Mel Edelman, "Things Undone" hosted at the University of California Riverside - California Museum of Photography (UCR/CMP) in Winter/Spring 2002. Because the artist only wanted certain items from a massive, three-structure installation and the cost of deconstructing it was prohibitive, the Museum sold the entire remaining lot (siding, fixtures, objects, doors...) before the next round of exhibits, one of which I co-curated with Lize Mogel, "Alternate Routes" about performative geography.

Check out how "Stair-Step-y" these look (I just think that that's supercool!) When 8 toms aren't enough, go for 10! By combining our Standard and Large Concert Tom sets and adding in a fun new 9" x 11", this setup lets you whack on even MORE good stuff! Note: 11" tom head choices are very limited. 6x6, 7x8, 8x10, 9x11, 10x12, 11x13, 12x14, 13x15, 14x16, 15x18; plied maple; satin wax.

Another version of a picture of Ukrainian/Russian mathematician Georgy Feodosevich Voronoy (Георгій Феодосійович Вороний) famous for, and seen here imprisoned by, his Voronoi tessellation. This was an alternate take - a mistake really - but he looks like a supercool math guy here so...

We had a great time talking during lunch on the weekend! 謝謝大家

Some great weather today, and we made the most of it... dinner was a picnic by the burn followed by a bug hunt with the camera :) We found two of these supercool click beetles :) The sun was a bit bright, and I only got a couple of shots of this one before it dropped into the undergrowth, never to be seen again, lol! :)

His successful attempt of redpoint. Graded mighty F8a+, it was his PB. Well done!
