i'm not sharing a lot of and about myself these days even though the urge to do so is there. it feels sick making these pictures and keeping them lurking in my libraries for weeks without anyone seeing them. sometimes it feels right, sometimes it doesn't.

making self-portraits for me has always had several reasons and effects. the shooting, the editing, the sharing -

now all with the iPhone mostly - and the response. but feelings about it altogether have changed on both sides.

i think i also have changed and then again i have not.

i'm still being me.

For several years now, I have been an "unofficial" attendee at the Fed Ex Pilot's Wives Association's Annual Auction and Party that benefits Ronald McDonald House.

This is a wonderful group of ladies that invited me to do a decorating presentation for their gathering about three years ago... and I have been working with many of them in renovating their homes ever since. They are such a nice and fun group of ladies who do so much for charities in our area.

This party is actually held inside a hangar, owned by two married FedEx pilots. They have a supercool place out in "the country" with this hangar, "his and her" airplanes, their home, and their very own airstrip in the back yard!

We had a great time, as you will see in the pics to come.... :)

Today I arrived in Seattle to reunite with my friends from Phytalabs and Seattle Hempfest among many others! It was a great events! Meet Nana of Nana's Secret, AC and Dr. Michelle Sexton from PhytaLabs, John Davis, Sharon Whitson and more from the Seattle Hempfest Crew and many others I love my Seattle friends They are supercool chill, nice, kind, great business people and amazing activists!

I love sharing these photo diaries from behind the scenes of day to day business. I ran into this guy while walking through the Old Port. He and Julian Brand both recognized me, but since I'm really bad with faces (ironic?), they had to reintroduce themselves to me. I now run into Tim all the time.

This is one of a series of shots that grew increasingly stranger. I'll be posting the rest as soon as I find some time. What really attracted me to this shot is the supercool lighting and the mixture of grays that I captured. I also really like Tim's expression here.

I wanted to get a photo that offered a wide, sweeping shot of Monhegan, and so I asked Mia to be the subject as we were walking up Horn's Hill one day. Mia, like Bethany, is one of those island regulars I see every summer; she's supercool and outgoing, adding a burst of energy to the slow afternoons.

OOH! OOH! These are SUPERCOOL!! Inspired by a customer's desire for the smallest, lightest way to play a great kit at a jazz gig, these sizes showed themselves to check off all the boxes! The mounted nests into the floor, they both nest into the bass. Ever the experimentalist, I decided to make two: one with 8-ply shells & 2.3mm hoops (this drumset) and another with 6-ply shells & 1.6mm hoops just to get an idea of how different/same they sound and to see how far apart they'd be on the scale. This one weighs in at 21.9 lbs for the three nested drums, versus 18 lbs for the 6-ply/1.6mm hooped version! Oh, and I worked up a couple of optional 12" snare drums that match -- a "Real" snare (shown with this drumset) and a new "Unreal" one-headed snare with wires under the head. It's SHOCKING how big these drums sound! 6x10, 7x13, 8x16, 3¾x12; plied maple; satin wax.

These are oval/circular holes which appear in supercooled alto-stratus clouds, where jet planes intersect the cloud layer.
