Digging through the archives from last year, another shot I liked from Sunset Cliffs in San Diego. Some nice afterglow in this one. Hope you enjoy, let me know what you think!
December 5, 2021 - Sunset Cliffs Sea Cave at Low Tides in San Diego, CA. Photo Hike with Ming Lo, Kathryn Lockwood, and Jared Tranquillo.
I didn't take this photo today, I took it a couple weeks ago, but if I had, the scene likely would have been different. This morning a man drove his car off the bluff and landed it on the beach at the bottom of the frame. Somehow he walked away with only moderate injuries. If you're interested in reading more about the incident, here's a link to an article: www.utsandiego.com/news/2013/jul/29/man-drives-off-bluff-...

California got pounded by a massive storm this week but luckily things cleared nicely in time for yesterday's sunset.
Left Fullerton at 4a.m. to try and catch a sunrise in San Diego. Was surprised to discover there was a Lunar Eclipse. This image is taken around the Sunset Cliffs area a few minutes before sunrise with illumination from the moon.
[Very minor editing. My images are, for the most part, unedited as I am not very experienced and I prefer to present images as close to how they naturally appeared]
An alluring sunset from Sunset Cliffs in San Diego, CA taken on January 16, 2015. I was tracking the cloud coverage and movement for most of the afternoon and made a late decision to drive to Sunset Cliffs. I was expecting more clouds and was surprised to find only a triangle wedge of clouds with no clouds to the north or the south. It was simply amazing that the clouds stayed in a perfect location for this photograph. DSC_2799A

I don't know whats gotten into me but I must like taking pictures better than surfing. I figured this after I hiked all the way out here (about 1/2 mile) with my camera instead of my board and the surf was going off!
La Jolla Cove is one of my favorite places in San Diego. We spent the day here during our holiday in California. The sea lions and pelicans were really enjoying the sunny day at the beach also.
My third and final installment of sunset pictures from the beach at Sunset Cliffs Nature Park in Point Loma, San Diego, California. This one was taken earlier than the other two so the sun was a bit higher.
On this fall evening as the sun went down for the night it managed to find a way to make a small, brief appearance through the other wise overcast sky. Taken at Sunset Cliffs in Ocean Beach, CA.

This beautiful cove has a sea cave or tunnel which would be really fun to kayak or swim through. I used a long exposure to highlight the interesting pattern of the waves on the beach. This is along Sunset Cliffs, Point Loma, San Diego, CA.
