This bridge will take you from the Visitor's Center to the many trails along the estuary. The estuary now has one young bald eagle residing somewhere among the tall trees in the rear. So far, it has not yet found a mate. Fishing is allowed only on the other side of the bridge.
Most western point of Ameland. A few minutes before sunset. So peaceful and calm while the sun and the wind draw a spectacle of lines.

1. Comet Neowise
2. At least I managed to get those unimportant buildings in focus
For these fishermen it was the day's end along with a glorious sunset. We vacationed here the end of June with the family. What fun we had. I think my husband and I have definitely decided Sunset Beach NC is where we want to retire when the time comes!
Hope all my Flickr friends are doing well. I pop in here from time to time and will continue to do so. Happy Summer!
This is one of my favorite places, sunset beach N.C. The people are so friendly, not a lot of tourists. A wonderful place to go and be with your thoughts, and your camera ;)
Sunset time in Sunset Beach. Actually, "Sunset Beach" was swallowed up [annexed is the word] by Huntington Beach a few years ago but we still prefer to call ourselves as "Sunset Beach".
Went to Sunset Beach again today.
A slight pain in my heel so decided not to run. Had a short walk. Another cold but beautifully sunny day.
Got to pack now as we hit the road tomorrow.
