I'm so pleased to have spotted both the male and female this afternoon (from my bicycle). I grabbed a couple of imperfect pics from quite a distance. Returning this evening. Couldn't find her, but his soft, but regular, chirping eventually lead me to him. Could not have seen without hearing!
So little light. Ages after sunset. Captured at 1/25th. He was so patient, letting me take his pic.
It's the third year (or could even be the 4th - I better check) i've encountered this pair. So good to have them back again!
An evening walk to rid myself of the day's woes unveiled many beautiful sunset captures and sharp contrast among the forest.
Sunset captured while on the way home. I just laugh at myself sometimes while driving and stopping to get some shots. Look for the next tree or whatever, and pull over again. I really do amuse myself with the simple things in life.
Just as i was out capturing a few sunset shots i saw this fisherman out on the pier, i managed to capture this shot just as he was about to leave so i was very lucky.
A sunset captured a few weeks ago over at Epsom Downs as the last rays of the day can be seen disappearing past below the tree line to the right. Wishing for more days like this very soon!

This particular shoot was something to be remembered for long time. We got to the National Bank of Kuwait after midnight to capture Night Ramadan prayers (which last till 3-4AM) from the top of the roof. It was an incredible sight of thousands of people praying not only inside of the mosque, but there where other thousands of people praying on streets around the Grand mosque.
As I was admiring the sight while listening to the prayers, I was still wondering how is it possible to stand on the roof of National bank HQ in the middle of the night with so much happening around me (something that would never be allowed in Europe). Even it is my 3rd year in the Middle East, I could have never imagined such a scene before. On top of that incredible experience, I found out only the next day that the "coincidence" brought me there on the 27th night of Ramadan is is also called the Night of Power -
Ramadan is the ninth month of the Muslim calendar. It is during this month that Muslims fast. Ramadan is a time when Muslims should concentrate on their faith and spend less time on the concerns of their everyday lives. It is a time of worship and contemplation. During Ramadan, it is common for Muslims to go to the Masjid (Mosque) and spend several hours praying and studying the Quran. In addition to the five daily prayers, during Ramadan Muslims recite a special prayer called the Taraweeh prayer (Night Prayer). The length of this prayer is usually 2-3 times as long as the daily prayers. Some Muslims spend the entire night in prayer.
On the evening of the 27th of the month, Muslims celebrate the Laylat-al-Qadr (the Night of Power). It is believed that on this night Muhammad first received the revelation of the Holy Quran. And according to the Quran, this is when God determines the course of the world for the following year. It is often believed that it is a special night when God gives heed to their requests and they are often open to dreams and visions at this time seeking guidance and revelation. Many Muslims will pray all night seeking a response to specific requests.
This shot is not typical blue hour or sunset capture, but it is one of those shots I wanted to capture for long time. I still however hope that I'll get the chance for the blue hour or sunset in near future (since I know how to contact !!)

This is an Orton processing landscape of Sunset captured while coming we were in Big sur coastline. Big sur is one of the beautiful places in Pacific coast lines with numerous mindblowing spots.

About Big Sur: Big Sur is a sparsely populated region of the central California, United States, coast where the Santa Lucia Mountains rise abruptly from the Pacific Ocean. The terrain offers stunning views, making Big Sur a popular tourist destination. Big Sur's Cone Peak is the highest coastal mountain in the lower 48 states, ascending nearly a mile (5,155 feet/1.6 km) above sea level, only three miles (4.8 km) from the ocean.
Although Big Sur has no specific boundaries, many definitions of the area include the 90 miles (145 km) of coastline between the Carmel River and San Carpoforo Creek, and extend about 20 miles (32 km) inland to the eastern foothills of the Santa Lucias. Other sources limit the eastern border to the coastal flanks of these mountains, only three to 12 miles (4.8-19 km) inland.
The northern end of Big Sur is about 120 miles (193 km) south of San Francisco, and the southern end is approximately 245 miles (394 km) north of Los Angeles.

I was going to go to the coast for the sunset but i was told the sun would be in the wrong place for any nice rock pool reflections. So i went into the heart of Dorset and the beautiful Blackmore vale and manage a little sunset capture. Not the best detail and finished in a little HDR.

Just returned from the oncologist where the second biopsy on the mass came back benign!!!! Thank you Lord!! We will do a bit of celebrating tomorrow!!! This mesmerizing sunset captures nature's most spectacular light show, where dramatic cloud formations create rippling patterns across both sky and water. A beautiful glowing sunset captured over Topsail Sound, also referred to as Banks Channel. I do not often see boats at anchor here and was fortunate to have this one here adding to the story! A fitting end to an amazing 75 degree day at the beach in November!
