The bane of every teenager smoking pot or drinking beer on the Borough of Woodmont beaches back in my younger years. My friends and I quickly hid our joints in the sand when one of these World War Two surplus Jeeps made its stealthy appearance by slowly turning on the corner on Beach Avenue.

A quiet night falls over the Puget Sound, the sun sheds the last of the light on the Olympic Mountains, as a helicopter makes a crossing above the Sound for one of the last winter sunsets above the Pacific Northwest.
Golden hues from the setting sun reflect off the rippling waves, while silhouetted plants in the foreground create a serene and natural frame for the sunset. The sky is partly cloudy, adding depth to the glowing horizon.
A very dark night starts to sink in over Samish Bay and the San Juan Island group. A cold and dark yet very fiery sunset tears into the darkness as it builds, but day must surrender to the coming night, as the night must do for the coming day; but as the day ends it does so in a stunning chorus of light and color.
Samish Bay is Washington State and looks west to the San Juan Islands and the Pacific Ocean.
