I was out fishing at Shaffers Bend which is one of the LCRA Parks in the Texas Hill Country. After hours of fishing and not catching anything I was packed up ready to leave. I got into my truck and drove around to the other side of the bend when I saw this perfect reflection or the hill country. I decided to capture this scene instead of a fish. This photo ended up being the catch of the day.

When life bears down on you really hard and stress is all you know, there is nothing like venturing up to the mountains and sharing a beautiful sunset with friends. Memorial Day weekend was an amazing trip shared with new trail buddies as we backpacked and camped at Grayson Highlands. We saw wild ponies and Texas longhorns, scaled boulders, and got rained on all day Sunday. As we settled into camp on our second night, we hiked just past Wilburn Ridge and witnessed this sunset on one of the many boulder outcroppings throughout the park, which was nothing short of beautiful.
