“The strange thing about the sunset is that we actually don’t want the sun to set, we want it to stay right on the horizon, not below it, not above it, just right on it!” -Mehmet Murat ildan
Cornwalls Polkerris harbour this evening during a rather dramatic sunset! The giant Volcanic boulders added superbly to the ancient mystery of the Cornish Coastline.
The sunset at the beach was amazing yesterday! We had high tide in the morning and when it dropped back down again, it left a little shallow 'pond' on the surface of the sand, so I grabbed my three-year-old, headed out there, and let her loose.

Sunset over the River Humber on 18/05/18. I'd watched as the sun dipped behind a bank of cloud and I thought that was it, so I packed away the camera. Just as I was about to get back into the car, the sun re-appeared from beneath a layer of cloud and slowly moved further down behind another cloud layer. I got the camera back out and took a few images as part of the sun was sliced through by two cloud layers.
A view of the Black Mountains in Abergavenny looking across from May Hill in Gloucestershire.
The summit and surrounding area of May Hill consists of a wide expanse of open grassland, bracken and gorse with boggy areas and pools. The hill is capped by a clump of pine trees, planted in 1887 to commemorate the golden jubilee of Queen Victoria. It is now the location of annual May Day celebrations.
Your comments means so much and thank you for that,
I have some people that fave my photo with no comment,
I am afraid that does not mean anything to me,
I can understand if they are busy but I see them commenting on others,
so that leaves me to believe they kinda feel sorry for poor Steve:-)))
Have a great Sunday friends!
these vivid sunsets are typical here at this time of year. the camera can't do these sunsets justice!
one of the few sunsets wich I made in Portugal, to bad the sun didn't touched the surface of the sea but dissapeared behind the hills, however, i love the orange glow in the sky and the reflection in the water caused by the low tide...
ps. one of my contacts is Brian Kerr, somebody who is a master in this type of photography, just have a look at his pics ....
