Early morning sunrays around the Whitsunday Islands.

Have a lovely weekend all my Flickr friends. Wild rose taken last June in Hyde Park London.

With the sun rising behind the bushes I got lovely rays in the sky and also nice sunlight coming down the track. With bonus mist in the distance illuminating the cows in the bush tunnel.

The weather is getting better now.

Sunrays over Lilienstein and Königstein.

Panthera leo melanochaita is a lion subspecies in Southern and East Africa. In this part of Africa, lion populations are regionally extinct in Lesotho, Djibouti and Eritrea, and are threatened by loss of habitat and prey base, killing by local people in retaliation for loss of livestock, and in several countries also by trophy hunting. Since the turn of the 21st century, lion populations in intensively managed protected areas in Botswana, Namibia, South Africa and Zimbabwe have increased, but declined in East African range countries. In 2005, a Lion Conservation Strategy was developed for East and Southern Africa.

Results of a phylogeographic study indicate that lion populations in southern and eastern Africa form a major clade distinct from lion populations in West Africa, Central Africa and Asia. In 2017, the Cat Classification Task Force of the IUCN Cat Specialist Group subsumed lion populations according to the major clades into two subspecies, namely P. l. leo and P. l. melanochaita. - Wikipedia

Sunray was an anti-gravity racer in the mid to late 21st century. Light and fast, with a large engine, it won a series of races. However, its main fame came from its bright and distinctive colour scheme.

The sun is setting over the dog beach at Montrose Beach and it left a brilliant trail in its wake.

Hi everyone and a quick Sunday night post. One from Cape May and enjoyed watching this Gull looking over other gulls from high above them while they were scavenging for food. He just looked on and waited for his opening and swooped in and ruined the party for the other ones, lol!

stay well and a great week to all,

Morning sunrays have warmed the frozen creek

The very rainy spring has been stingy in producing many butterfly opportunities.

The radiated tortoise (Astrochelys radiata) is a species in the family Testudinidae. Although this species is native to and most abundant in southern Madagascar, it can also be found in the rest of this island and has been introduced to the islands of Réunion and Mauritius.

It is a very long-lived species, with recorded lifespans of at least 188 years. These tortoises are classified as critically endangered by the IUCN, mainly because of the destruction of their habitat and because of poaching. – Wikipedia

An amazing winterweek here in Holland. I have spent all my photo time in the neighborhood as there were so many pretty places to visit with the fresh snow. This moment was just after heavy snowfall when the sun came through in the Amsterdam forest.

Thanks for your kind comments and favs, I always enjoy them a lot.
