When I first arrived at the beach, I was hopeful for a great sunset, but unfortunately the cloud cover just got too heavy. Still the start was promising.

They cleave the water like a jewel, and cracks it to bright light.

Sometimes when I have to clean up the hard drive, pictures appear that I have completely forgotten. I just rediscovered this one and I took it once when I was walking in the forest looking for sunrays. It gives me a feeling of tranquility when I look close at it, so I want to save it from the vault :-)
took that shot in February ..... close to the village "Bubach an der Naab"

Photo shown Lake Sunrays Special thanks Kaaetlin Christensen and Springmood Sands for inviting me to their lovely sim.
The eroded canyons and washes provide plenty of sand, the wind seems to always blow, but there are only a few areas in the park where the sand is "trapped" by geographic features such as mountains – Mesquite Flat Sand Dunes. The dunes appear out of nowhere as one drives towards Stovepipe Wells, and they are glorious in the evening sunset.
............back from my mountains....
i hope you had a wonderful start of this new year!
this is an old song of my birthland!
The lake is part of the Notre-Dame de Mortemer Abbey, an ancient Cistercian men's abbey founded in 1134 by King Henry Beauclerc, located between Lyons-la-Forêt and Lisors. It was the first Cistercian abbey in Normandy. Most of the original buildings dating from the 11th and 13th centuries are in a state of ruin and were classified as historic monuments.
