I got the flu the last 2 days in England. I had to sit in the Manchester airport with it for a total of 8.5 hours because our flight was 5 hours late taking off. At least there were beautiful skies to keep my mind off being sick!
I am not a big fan of suburbia landscapes, but when I spotted this cloud cover and beautiful light on my way to a client meeting yesterday, I just had to find the nearest high ground to capture it. This was also my first attempt at doing a multiple image panorama. It consists of 5 separate images stiched together manually in Photoshop Elements.
I was trying to catch a sunset picture to test the sunset setting on my new camera, but the sun disappeared behind a bank of clouds. Caught some nice pictures anyway though. This is Price Lake (Julian Price Memorial Park), with Grandfather Mountain in the background.
Taken on Aug. 22, 2009, at Price Lake Overlook on the Blue Ridge Parkway (milepost 296.7)
There were great sunrays in the morning but since I was on the bus I missed the best part. By the time I got to the top of the car park it had all but finished.
Took a picture as I was getting ready to leave, this caught my eye, and a quick edit with curves in PS produced this :)
Not too sure about this one but for some reason I keep coming back to it. Taken a few weeks back on the Conwy Morfa during a bright autumn day.
There is something I like about the rays of light broken by the reeds.
No post processing done, just straight out of the camera. Maybe I should spens a bit of time on this one and see what I can make of it.
