Elle va beaucoup me manquer .....

I dedicate this photo to my little neighbor Annette who died this morning March 2, 2025 at 6:50 am. Finally freed from her suffering, she had been waiting for death for several months.

She had a good life, until July 2024 she went out to walk every day and she was 90 years old.

May she rest in peace and may her rest be sweet.

I will miss her very much .....

Deep Purple... the Song:

If you’ve survived long enough to remember putting a 45’s on the record player, then you may remember this song. First recorded by Paul Whiteman in 1934, Nino Tempo & April Stevens made it an American Rock & Roll Hit in 1963.

When a deep purple falls over sleepy garden walls

And the stars begin to twinkle in the night

in the mist of a memory you wander back to me

Breathing my name with a sigh 🎶

Time of bleak weather is coming. This might be the last sunrays in the forest this year. Darkness is taking over the place and I'm looking forward to take some pictures of it.

a big field of sunflowers in the early morning ..... it seems they are looking to the sun and waiting for the sunrays....

Last minute decision last night to head up to a lookout and shoot what looked like a promising sunset over Adelaide city. I left the house in such a rush I forgot to take any filters - so this is a bit blown out, shooting nearly directly into the sun, but the sunrays through Adelaide's city centre were a treat.

Giraffe are widely spread across Namibia occurring in National

Parks, private land as well as communal land. Giraffe population

numbers and distribution in Namibia has increased over the past

30 years due to well managed conservation efforts.

Most giraffe in Namibia are Angolan giraffe. Based on a recent

survey by the Giraffe Conservation Foundation in Namibia it is

estimated that there are approx. 12,000 Angolan giraffe; 6,500 on

private land, 2,000 on communal land, and 3,500 in National Parks.

Another weekend, and another opportunity for me to capture sunrise - this time at Chalky Beach (near Swansea, NSW; Australia) this morning.

Conditions looked promising, but the color I was hoping for didn't eventuate - I had to make do with these sunrays instead - hope you like them!!

Have a great day and weekend everyone - thanks for any comments, viewings or favorites for this and any of my other images - always very much appreciated!!!

Hi, Me again...

In April 2021, I received my first 35mm as a gift from a fellow photography enthusiast. I seriously had no idea what I was doing but I immeditely knew I enjoyed it. The sound alone was enough to give me shivers!! Since then, I have shot a few rolls of film, find myself in possession of 5 new cameras, managed to process 2 rolls at home, 'scan', and now I'm ready to put them out there.

I don't ever profess to be a perfect photographer. If fact, I'm usually incredibly insecure. Digital photography always had me seeking perfection. It is silly because life isn't perfect, but regardless, I feared things like proper exposure and unconventional subjects. (Yes....insert eye roll here!)

The thing about film though, it has given me freedom it be imperfect, appreciate 'flaws' and embrace everyday life in an authentic and unpolished way. Film has given me permission to love the imperfect and see it for all its beauty. Also, the fact that my hands are on it from start to finish....well that... that alone gives me immense satisfaction.

So.....I'm saying be ready for the perfectly imperfect. And just to prove it...I resisted the urge to edit out my chicken pox scars. :-) I'm going to be brave and start sharing what I've been working on and what I love.

Here goes....
