over the Agriates, Corsica

Sabino Canyon Recreation Area, Tucson.

Here I was trying to capture the effect of the early-morning sun on the spines of these saguaros.

The results were so-so. The yellowish appearance of the saguaros in the center and right are much more representative of what I saw than the white that surrounds the one on the left.

Seen on the Esperero Trail.

Underwater. In Orivesi, Finland.

A best flowering of this plant in long time, ...... maybe 20 years. The hybrid was registered in 1919, and is definitely a favourite in my collection. The plant is still now to it's full size but improved remarkably through the last year, growing some strong canes.

Sunray Travel's yard at Woking yesterday (Sunday 28th July). The four Olympians were originally due to be back by or on Saturday, but - as is clear from their presence here - plans have changed. They're now due to stay around for a few more days until replacements arrive.

Here, you can see the pink and puple Southern Transit Olys, parked in order back to front: N430 FKK, N429 FKK, N431 FKK.

Nice Autumnal morning up on "The Edge" at Alderley Edge

A photo from our recent holiday crusing, on the MS Dionis, around the Croatian islands. A wonderful peaceful holiday, with only 38 passengers onboard.

This shot is early morning as we return to Dubrovnik.

The rays of the sun creating a curtain on the horizon.

Sunrays in the morning on my way to get some shoots.

At the Maasvlakte II beach.

I quite like the framing of this image- the dark cloud overhead and the immediate foreground help to emphasize the lightrays (at least I hope they do!).

A picture that I had forgotten about since it was extremely dark, and before I got lightroom (very recently) it would have been impossible to salvage. I don't think that I've done too bad a job of rescuing though, even if it's not amazing...
