I don't even have a mini-me (yet), but Qara has found hers. Oh the privilege of being a Sunday Best - all the best things go to her!

SO SAY WE ALL! Here's Amberlie with my Battlestar Galactica DVDs, I couldn't possibly pick between BSG & Walking Dead as my favorite TV show ever, but I don't have Walking Dead on DVD. I think husband must have season 4 in his travel bag because it wasn't with the rest of them.

My face looked really funny in this photo, hence the crop. Interesting note: It snowed later that day despite the gloriously sunny morning.

Within the world of our family, this photo is iconic: framed and in slightly cropped form, it stayed on the wall of our living room through most of my childhood. My other brother, Bobby, had a comparably cute picture there, too. For a variety of reasons, I didn't.
Mom: This was always one of my very favorites pictures of Tommy.
Me: Where was this taken?
Mom: I'm not sure. I don't know if we took it.
Me: It doesn't look like it. We have the negative for it, but it's slightly larger than any of the other negatives we have.
Mom: So I would say it was taken by either Uncle Mickey or Uncle Michael. I would say that in this era, it was probably Uncle Mickey.
Me: I think this is probably Easter, because of the suit. And it matches up with the other Easter photos from that year.
Mom: Yes.
Me: So you also had this one framed?
Mom: Yes. I loved it that much.
Me: And I have to say, it always confused me that you never had one of my pictures put in a frame they way you did this one and Bobby's similar picture. [We'll see this picture later.]
Mom: And there were a couple of reasons for this. I took those photos to a photographer to get them framed, and he went out of business by time I had a photo that I liked of you. So I couldn't get a matching set. I guess I was anal, because I wanted a matching set. And I always felt bad that I never got a picture of you. But when you were an infant, Tommy was very sick, and Bobby was very "bad," and Daddy was away a lot, so I guess pictures were a low priority.
I just had to include an image of my super cool, uber thrifty boots. You can't really see all of the detail on the side, but it really is spectacular. Suede. Thrifted. Made in Yugoslavia.
Finally had the courage to wet Victoria's hair and take it out of the updo it was in. I think she looks prettier and softer with her new hair do and I love it! She can wear hats so much easier now!! =D No regrets what so ever!! =D
Organized by my mother. The closer you look at this the more entertaining it gets. Same party as this photo.
the girls, they meet!
Toronto Christmas Meet, Dec 19, 2009

Feel free to make comments on/about your dolls, clearly and sadly, not all these girls are mine, only a very small fraction.
Good to see you all again and see our ever growing and changing collection. Till the next meet, in a 2 weeks! LOL Did we choose the day yet?
My grandfather in the conservatory of the Durand home on Lake Drive, looking a little unenthused to be dressed up and having his picture taken.
