Peering close within the vine, I saw this multicolored grape cluster bathed in the final rays of the sun before it set behind the nearby mountains. This is located in the Santa Lucia Highlands west of Gonzales in the Salinas Valley of California.

This little American pika (Ochotona princeps) was scampering about the rocks, alternating between shade and sun. It stopped for a brief moment near the edge of this boulder where a shaft of light filtered through the boulders casting a spotlight on it.

While sunbathing with her mom and aunties, the little cutie realised me and my clicking camera and became curious about it. What a joy to watch this adorable family

Sliders Sunday
These two chestnut horses recently showed up a few houses down from where I live. They both have very shaggy coats and flaxen manes.

I am constantly amazed by the contrast in DTLA. From the homeless population that bleeds West of Main Street to the corporate workers of the Financial district. From the trendy restaurants catering to an upscale clientele that eats as the mentally ill wander pass by the windows. This is DTLA, a melting pot of differences that are constantly changing, swirling around together into one chaotic, ever-changing sea of humanity. I was at Pershing Square taking a few photos of a homeless man when I saw this gentleman sitting on the bench catching some rays. That’s what I love about it down here… it’s all so different and changes so quickly. Blink and you’ll miss somethng.
