"Education, therefore, is a process of living and not a preparation for future living."

Thanks for having a look. Have a great day / evening.
Just before sunset on the Midland Highway somewhere near Jerico, Tasmania.
A long day of site visits from Devonport to Launceston. There are bushfires everywhere - I think the whole state is shrouded in smoke at the moment. The smoke made the sunset an eerie orange/ red colour.
I took my eldest son with me on this trip - he turned 13 a few days ago and now has his own Canon DSLR. He took some amazing photos from this trip. It turns out that 13 is also the magic age to get a Flickr account, so we're going to set that up and you'll be able to see his wonderful work.
Update: Quinn's account is here - www.flickr.com/photos/139706324@N04/

Here is the image I captured without Sun! However next image shows how it turned out after 45 minutes!
As I am going through my shots of last year I found this original, one of those moments when as a photographer it all makes sense, freezing your fingers and toes off and asking yourself "What in gods name am I doing here" well this image is the answer to that, when I held up the camera to take this you get a tingling sensation all over but those three birds was the magical moment I had just one chance at this!
Ok... Douglas Herbert and I were meant to be studying today.
But then Golden Hour arrived and we just had to grab our cameras and head out.
My memeroy card is now quite full and I've probably enough photos to upload for a month...oops!
Hope you like it! [Please view this one large! "L"]
