There are four species of Nuthatches in North America. Only two are wide spread: this species and the Red-breasted. The Pygmy is strictly a western bird and the Brown-headed is restricted to the east. While pros can sometimes determine Nuthatch sexes in the field, the color differences are very subtle, and they probably need ideal lighting. It's even more difficult when the bird is a juvenile like this guy (gal?)!

Christmas Sweater #21 is a subtle piece whose festivity is only apparent if you stare at it for a second. Which could be creepy so exercise your peripheral vision when doing so. At first glance you might think this sweater is all about games, chess, checkers and some dangly triangles perfect to swing on in Jungle Hunt for the Atari 2600 (which btw, Continental Club still has a functioning version, I think). But wait! What is this? Festive bears hiding in the bramblebush of the geometric garden? Wow, and a thin stripe of gold glitter ringing the bears feet. Truly spectacular.
On the Blueridge Parkway near Roanoke Mountain. Blended exposures helped with the challenging, yet beautifully soft light.

A county of shimmering palettes and subtle flavours, Suffolk is the green and pleasant land. And what better way to explore it than to follow the Suffolk leg of The Tour of Britain as it weaves through some of the county’s most delightful and picturesque market towns and villages.
Stage Seven from Suffolk to Norfolk bears the distinction of being The Tour of Britain’s longest stage since 2004, coming in at 200 kilometres and providing perfect training roads for the World Road Race Championship in Denmark, just a week after The Tour concludes.
Away from the scenic start on Angel Hill at the heart of Bury St Edmunds, Stage Seven heads south east past Nowton Park and out towards Lavenham and the day’s first Skoda King of the Mountains climb at Lavenham Hill, just before reaching the beautiful Suffolk village.

I've grouped the blocks with red in them, starting at the upper right corner and added a narrow vertical sashing, that will finish at three quarters of an inch. Now, I'll sew the rows together and then do the horizontal sashing.
Subtle Clutch is a Knoxville, Tn based band, consisting of Briston Maroney (Guitar,Vocals), Eli Fox (Banjo,Dobro,Harmonica), Devin Badgett (Guitar,Vocals,Ukelele), and Jonathan Bailey (Mandolin,Guitar). They create their own style by blending elements of traditional bluegrass, to modern day hits. The teen group is powered by strong vocals as well as serious instrumentation, with each member playing many instruments.
These teens were very good. If you see notice of them performing near you, make it a point to go hear them.
Great Barton Holy Innocents Church, a fabulous display of colour from the stained glass and the memorials that decorate the spaces. HDR 7 raw files.

Project 52 Week 15
Assignment 52 Week 15 - Food color abstracts
Need to try this again. Realized today I only had gel food coloring and it didn't work nearly as good. I'll have to give it another go sometime.
This look is me being catty and avoiding things.
"C'mon, we both know I'm not gonna do any of that."
