My second test round of carrot cupcakes for my boyfriend's cousin's wedding this fall! I think these are The Ones =). Moist, flavorful with subtle variance in texture from chopped nuts and coconut...everything you could want in carrot cake! Recipe and story to come on my blog.

As for the photography, I kinda wish I hadn't have dyed the frosting orange. The colors were going a bit wacky between the background, orange frosting, and yellow-tinged afternoon light. Also had a bit of trouble hiding the crookedness of the stand hehe.

Thank you for looking at my photo and for all of the lovely comments and faves. I really appreciate it :)

Such a gorgeous spec on this 458, so classy!

Something rather more subtle today than the last couple of posts! For me, this typifies Studland Beach on a winter evening - the tide out, acres of wet sand, pools of water, patterns and textures in the sand, Old Harry Rocks in the background, all picked out by the gorgeous soft light of evening. In the summer, this particular stretch would be full of naked bodies as it is a designated nudist beach but not in winter. Having said that, there was one naked man there the other day when I walked it - in JANUARY???? Must be crazy!!!

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you all have a good week.

Here's a link to my latest BLOG entry that I posted last week. Hope you enjoy it.

Taken at Oshino Mura with the Nikon D600 w/ AF-S NIKKOR 24-85mm F3.5-4.5G ED VR. Visit my Facebook Page for more info.

After I stopped the first timelapse (previous photo) because it was getting pretty underexposed, I set up another timelapse pointing a little more to the south, to catch the last bit of colour.

I made this time stack by combining 100 photos into one image.

Another shot of the Bronze shieldbug from Cramer Gutter last year. Whilst they look a rather plain brown if given a quick glance, a close look will reveal so many more lovely colours on them.

I gave my Pullips additional eyelashes last weekend. It slightly changed Naiara's look, but I kind of like it...

This is another lith print, straight out of scanner.

This was an experiment with Ilford Art 300 in very dilute easy lith. I've been recommended to try higher concentration of developer to get more midtones/blacks. It's also been suggested that I try 2nd pass development. All things to be experimented next time I lith print.

So, while it's not what I was after, I love the subtle colours and for that reason I've uploaded it :)

The wind was blowing like crazy, so nothing is very sharp, but this is pretty much the effect I was looking for.

This woman is 34 weeks pregnant for the first time. We did several sets during her portrait session. This is one of them. Subtle, feminin and pretty.

Recently, I was fortunate enough to get a showing of a private collection of phenomenal proportions, which included several cars, motorcycles, toys, and Americana.

GROUND CONTROL is a small personal project, bringing NASA's Apollo Archive photos to life. I utilized Adobe Photoshop, After Effects and Audition to complete this project. In order to achieve the subtle and weightless movement of each scene, I used an animation technique known as parallaxing. I shifted each image element ever so slightly to push forth the notion of how large and vast space truly is.

I would love to bring more missions to life, and may pursue a small series based on the most memorable Apollo missions.
