Barely noticeable highlights of setting sun... this subtle effect may not be noticeable on poorly calibrated monitor...
Hey everyone! I have been super busy lately and haven't had much time to be on flickr let alone even edit my recent photos. I haven't been able to get much to shoot lately so today I am posting a shot from this past Spring. There is something about the subtle colors and tones in this image that I just love. It always give me the feeling of peace when I look at it. I hope you are all doing well and I will catch up with you photos soon!

Thanks to Caitlin for asking me to photograph this! I love how the children have become involved with my photography project.

I have been out several times shooting heather and this is one from a few weeks ago. The sunset wasn’t really very colourful, but I’m kind of liking the subtle colours in this one it also helps pick out the detail and texture in the foreground foliage. Or that may just be that I have a much more to look at with my new camera!
Anyway, it’s also from a location that is quite some distance from any parking and consequently there isn’t many people around (which is the way I like it), and the forest has a very special feeling to it, kind of isolated but not so. Walking back after sunset to the car was an interesting experience, I freaked myself out a few times with noises coming from the gloom and the owl just added to the atmosphere. Is that just me?
The grasses remember the weight of my body and an impression is left, itself an expression of genetic memory.
