A little creek of sorts; the melt definitely has a different impact every year.
The flow creates such a lovely tranquil sound. I'd love to just sit alongside this creek for quite a while and kick back, but it runs through a smaller, yet steep valley.
This year it was also blessed with quite deep snow, which is esp. noticed when you are 5'4" or under. The opportunities for relaxation at this site are often limited ☺️ (Summer and the mosquitos are a whole different disaster)

The second in a week, not as dramatic as New Year's Day, but still visible. This time taken from shore and not the canoe due to the windy and bitterly cold conditions this day.

Soft lighting filtering out through the traditional wooden lattices (Kōshi, 格子) at the ground floor and bamboo blinds (Sudare, 簾 or すだれ) at the 2nd level, both employed for privacy of the customers inside.
This is the quieter section of Gion in the Shirakawa area, a walk back in time.

Meanwhile, Nikon is rumored to be using Sony 61mp sensor for the next Gen mirrorless pro-spec model (Z8 or Z9?). As Nikon’s mirrorless market share is rather small, there is a high chance that they will be using this same 61mp sensor for their DSLR D880 successor to the D850 for economies of scale. D880 will be like the D780 which offers better live-view shooting thanks to the on-sensor PDAF points in addition to the separate DSLR PDAF module.
With both Nikon and Sigma (newly launched “fp L”) using the 61mp sensor similar to the one on the Sony A7R4, there’s also an increasing chance that the next generation A7R5 will use a newer sensor at around or close to 100mp. Currently, the 61mp A7R4 has only 10% more linear resolution than the new A1.

If you wonder why it's called "Subtle Controversy", it's because of the extremely low cut in the back! Luchia loves her some butt-cheek moment!
Got a few things from the Epiphany Event and wanted to show them off :D
The hair is from the event from Truth; I really love the french twist style of this one, it's classy but casual at the same time.
The skin is from Atomic, and the rares are these custom mesh mouths. Atomic is in my top 3 of favorite skin makers, so this had me really excited. While there are a lot of perks, there are 2 minor cons at least for me.
The pros of these skins with these lips is that you can interchange the lipsticks and the skins. So if you have for example 3 of the skins, you can wear one and then switch over to one of the other two, load the lipstick hud for that skin, and apply it to the lips. The HUD itself is also awesome, because not only is it an easy one click application, it has a built-in resizer for the lips so you don't have to manually change their size on your own. The shape is adorable, especially the open mouth one.
So the two minor cons for me are: 1) It doesn't come with teeth. It looks like it does from the Ad, but the teeth are a separate 3rd party item (PXL to be exact). The open mouth was designed to be able to be used with your own favorite mesh teeth, which I think is great, but if you didn't own any and spent the money trying to get this open mouth because you thought the teeth came with it...I imagine that was probably just an innocent oversight, but for some that might be a let down. 2) For the life of me, I cannot get the lips to blend with the face skin 100%. The NC gives you a guideline, which I tried, but it would still leave the sides and bottom lifted above the face, causing it to be horribly noticeable. If you zoom in, you can kinda see the area to the side and below that I couldn't get to blend, and that was my best attempt which I got by changing my entire face shape. Now while I am fine with that, for some that might be a big no-go, especially if they always use the same modified facial features. I could possibly just be extremely terrible at this, but if I were to compare my experience with the VCO mesh lip to this, I'd have to say I had a much easier time getting the VCO lip to mesh with my face. I had the lighter of the two shades on as well, so I don't know if this same issue holds true when using the darker shade.
Like I said, to me they are minor cons, but still cons none the less, and something you should consider before going for them yourself.
Rather chunky, social bird of humid evergreen forest and edge in tropical lowlands and foothills. Usually in small and often noisy groups (at times up to 50 birds), moving at middle to upper levels in fruiting trees; not usually with mixed-species feeding flocks. Sexes look alike, with subtly attractive plumage: mustard-yellow head and breast with black face and blue-gray belly. Calls are buzzy splutters and whistles.

Deeper into the Pa. woods at Ricketts Glen there are so many scenes like this that it's just awesome. There's "Nothing Subtle" about the roar of the falls at each stop as well. Such a great way to spend a day. One needs hiking clothes to make this trip. Your camera will be smokin by the time you each your car again if you dare make the whole trip. It's not for the faint of heart.
Since my previous post was a rant about televangelists I thought I should post something a bit more positive.
In-N-Out burger is one of my favorite fast food places. It is a closely held family owned company that is proud of their deeply held Christian beliefs. According to Lynsi Snyder, the 37-year-old CEO and granddaughter of the chain’s founders, “I finally found that the deep need in my heart can only be filled by Jesus and my identity in Him."
She’s taken this with her throughout all aspects of her life, including the way she runs In-N-out Burger. “My grandparents set the bar high and I only try to raise it,” she said, noting that she strives to “maintain what we’ve started with: not compromising the quality of product, service, or standards.”
One way she continues to carry on the family legacy is by expanding the number of Bible verses printed on the packaging but it's subtle and never in-your-face. I'm good with that! I've been enjoying their burgers and bible verses since I was about 10 and we lived in Baldwin Park, CA about three blocks from their first location.
