AFC Wulfs stuttering start to the season continued with a comprehensive defeat at the hands of high flying league newcomers St Andrews

Mouth was going more than 50 mps

Barcelona midfielder Sergi Roberto issued a rallying cry to his team mates following another stuttering display as they were held 0-0 at Cadiz in LaLiga on Thursday.

Roberto's comments come defender Gerard Pique and coach Ronald Koeman's recent suggestions that Barca do not have the squad to compete with the likes of Real or Atletico Madrid domestically, let alone in Europe.

"Here we have to try and win LaLiga. This notion of it's ok to finish in the top four doesn't work for me," Roberto said.

"We need to fight for the league. The squad is very good, and we have some injuries but that's not an excuse.

"We've got a squad who can fight for the LaLiga title and I don't think other sides have better squads than us."

Barca were once again underwhelming as they drew their second consecutive league game against lowly opposition.

"We need to get into gear and start winning," Roberto said.

"We've had a couple of not good results and we all need to push harder. We're a way off (league leaders Real Madrid) now and while the league season is long, if you get left behind it's very difficult."

Pique backed up Roberto's opinion and clarified his previous comments.

"When I said 'it is what it is', it's because we've got four absentees up top," he said.

"I also said we'd end up competing. I'm not wearing the Barca shirt to come second or third. I'm here to win titles and I'm absolutely convinced despite the start we've made we'll compete. We need the fans to stay with us."

The result left Barca seventh in the standings on nine points, seven behind Real Madrid with one game in hand.

Many of the photos here were posted on my Instagram page shortly after they were taken. However it always has been my intent to also put them up here for several reasons.

There are any number of Flickr visitors who are not on Instagram or are unlikely to find my pages there. And photographs here are of much better quality, and not limited to 10 photos per post.

I have recently decided not to post new content on Instagram. While I don't intend to take down what is already there (at least as of now), I've become increasingly unhappy with the way it operates. Far too many advertisements and "You might be interested in" posts. Too many "private" members. Some members who have gone down the "AI photo composing" rabbit hole. Their right, but after a little while, their artwork becomes boringly repetitive. And Instagram's annoying ways of attempting you to get more "screen time" and see more of their ads. by posting entries out of chronological order, six day old photos you've seen too many times before new content you might enjoy.

The final straw there was that several of my Instagram entries were taken down for supposed "trademark infringement" I've been around photography intellectual property policy for a long time, and trademark infringement can only occur for commercial use, like advertising or selling a product. So, goodbye Instagram, to see my new photos, keep an eye out here.

I realize I'm way behind in posting here, this batch is a year and 1/2 old. But, I'll try to catch up soon. Thank you.

Another set of photos that never made it to Instagram. I think because it mixed landscape and portrait orientations, an Instagram no-no. I think the shoes were new to me back then. I see I eventually wore them again and posted some Instagram photos, but then they got stashed away in a storage bin, for no good reason.

These Nike Stutter Step 2 sneakers are becoming broken in as the uppers are torn from the soles in places, but the soles themselves need help, as they show almost no wear.

Having dug them out of storage now in late 2024, I'm going to wear them more often.

Senator Biden spoke about overcoming a severe stutter. He spoke about

overcoming the loss of his wife and daughter. He talked about the

values and honor his parents instilled in him. His mom was there

wiping away tears. He talked about the need for all of us to fight

this fight for the middle class, the soldiers, the veterens and the

rest of us. He was inspiring and you just know he is up to the battle

yet to come. He was the right pick! Oh and he accepted our

nomination! In the end Senator Obama came out and joined him on

stage. It was pretty incredible to have Bill, Hillary, and Chelsea

Clinton .. All the Biden family and the Obama family in the same

place. It was a great show of unity. And did you see Senator Biden's

tiny grandson holding his hand? All in all it was pretty amazing.

THE MAN AS AN INFANT BALANCING *

The man as a stuttering infant asks God for his will to hear. God, the good Father, grants him grace, but also grants him temptations. If he endures temptations without murmuring, he obtains an increase of grace. How much more grace receives, so much increase of temptation. [...] Ask God for mercy? Instead of grace temptation gives you. Do you not resist the war and you fall? It does not grant you an increase in grace. Do you ask again? Temptation again. Still defeated? Still deprivation. Until the end of life. You must therefore emerge victorious. Resist the temptation to death! Cadi (pure) in the battle, reduced to corpse, shouting paralyzed on the ground: I do not leave you, oh sweet Jesus! I will not abandon you! I will remain inseparable from you forever, and out of love you will make the last breath in the stadium. And suddenly he appears in the stadium and makes his voice heard in the middle of the storm: "I'm here! Trace your side like a prode and follow me!
