The Netherlands: Comparative Cultural Sociology
While our group was waiting on a water bus to come to take us to the wind mills, this girl was with her family waiting as well. They all had their own bicycles and spoke with accents. I found it fascinating that the girl had a purse with her that had the American flag on it, as it seemed like such an American thing to have. I guess she had visited the USA recently, and had acquired the bag here.

This is my happy host sister on a rare sunny day in Hamburg. In Germany, you can drink in public, so it is common to buy beers and hang out at the Hamburg city park.
this was at a party at our school. we played ping-pong, sang karaoke, and played with these wheel contraptions.

Tokyo: From Samurai Capital to Modern Metropolis (Faculty-led)
I have a number of silly things on my bucket list, and to experience multiple cultures at once was one of them. To be able to incorporate this checklist into food format made it even better. My defining moment was getting the opportunity to order paella (a Spanish dish) from Saizeriya (an Italian restaurant) in Tokyo (a Japanese city).
