A macro study of fire sprinklers using my G9. I wanted to see how it stood up against my 30D with EF100mm f.2.8 Macro lens.
Taken on a Mamiya C330F, on Ilford FP4+. Processed in DD-X.

With 100 speed film this is at f/3.8 so while the page is in focus his face isn't quite. I'm still not used to the narrow DOF of MF; useful when you want it but wow, very narrow, too narrow at times!

Perich will be exhibiting a body of work that include the sound sculptures Interval Studies and two mural-sized Machine Drawings – the result of a long-standing interest in code and systems. (Interval Studies was created during the Copenhagen Artist in Residence through Mikrogalleriet).

the photo looks strange, i know. but the plate was green and green plates don't make cupcakes look good. they were good though :)
So I'm at my house...bored...and really wanted to try out my recently acquired Micro Nikkor 55mm f/2.8... AI-s... I must say this lens is EXTREMELY sharp! Love it! It's manual focus...(obviously) so to get sharp shots of a moving subject..this close..a tripod is almost always necessary... These shots are hand held... I used 1 photogenic Strobe PL1250 with umbrella camera right, & an SB80 dx Nikon speedlight for fill from left, back... Camera was Nikon D300...
