We've rearranged the study to make it appear more spacious than how it was before.

Probably one the few areas I've seen lonely students.

My name is Julie. I' m from Czech republic and I' m 22 years old. I' m studying at the university.

I love the project "Flag for the future". Firstly, I am a big fan of Greenpeace because I love Earth and its nature. Secondly I adore Vivienne Westwood and I am really happy she is involving in this project. My goal is not win (even if the vision of that is nice, I confess) but primarily I am happy I have the possibility to participate in this creative competition.

I designed the flag with zebra stripes and the writing "hey zebra, go back to Africa, here is the Arctic!". I created my own paper and I used a coloured pencil and a marked pen. Then I scanned the flag.

My flag should express, I hope, 1, the global community in the sense that people know about oil drilling, overfishing and exploitation but they do not forget the other problems for our planet which we must think together about as well; 2, the peace for the globe, for us, for the animals, so for the zebras also because they are the endangered species (mainly the Grévy's zebra, actually as horrible as the danger for the polar bears and we must protect every living creature in the name of peace because everyone is entitled to live in peace); 3, the hope like the chance we are able to save the Arctic now and tomorrow we will be competent to protect the entire planet, minimally for us if somebody do not want to do for the nature (although we are the part of nature). This flag is not a flag of any state, this is the flag of everybody who started thinking about our homes. I wish my flag was little bit original with the secret inside, maybe with misunderstood detail.

In the end I want to say thank you for the project "Flag for the future".

Do not use my images without asking first, please and thank you!

I've been studying all day, my younger brother decided to take a picture of my "hard work" hah, it's actually a good picture with terrible webcam quality. Off to work!

Nature Color Studies.

Yet again „the walk“, I guess you know every single tree as well as I do right now ... BUT: I tried few things with the rendering, both while taking the shots and when processing them. When shooting I used a Kenko Nostaltone Orange, which is basically a diffusor and warming filter combined. That's where the color and softness comes from. I used a zoom lens all the way open, which gives vignette and fall off and a bit of additional softness. when proscessing them in LR and PS I payed attention to „fill the highlights with color“ and control the highlights in general. There was a beautiful „soft sunshine“ today (partially cloudy), and the light was so nice I hope I could capture that a little bit at least.

This is Christelle. Studying at Christelles house for our year 11 mid year exams (05).

Riley went to St. Paul Children's Hospital for a sleep study. He looks like he's from a science fiction movie as he enjoys his ice cream treat before bed.

For my second Photography 100 assignment, i was to emulate the style of two fashion photographers. This photograph is attempting to emulate Michel Arnaud's style of using background as an integral part of the image, natural lighting, and relaxed facial expressions of models (posing, but not exaggerated).

Mandy was again patient and helpful, even on the second day of our "fashion shoot." She is an Angel. :)

finished. two more exams left, then i can relax and work on my English course over the summer (yes, i call that relaxing when there is only one course on my plate).
