I get Flickr mail, in this case from the woman in the studded outfit above (to be honest, I think this is an excellent basis for a superhero costume: practical, and fashionably deadly). She confesses that she and her friend don't have a lot of chances to dress up nattily, and wonders if I might have pictures of the two of them. The smartphone pictures, apparently, don't do the night justice. As it happens, if this is you, then yes, I do, and you look great.

Gemini and Scorpio's Meet Me in Paris Clandestine Cabaret party is a fine occasion for raiding the closets, and the crowd, comfortably filling the new secret loft location in Brooklyn, is especially well turned out. As for the rest, well, smartphone pictures don't ever really do proper justice. Then again, my camera really sucks at phone calls.

Other clandestine cabareters take note: I'll be posting a large gallery of unprocessed shots to Facebook next week (usually I'm quicker, but I'll be out of town for a few days, and thus away from my computer).

Totally fed up with being horizontal after my operation the "Gang" and I with me hobbling along on crutches behind decided to take an afternoon to go around the fabulous Old Bladbean Stud. Part of the "ngs" national garden scheme, a charity where private and economic gardens open on special days to raise money for the following charity's:

Macmillan Cancer Support - Marie Curie Cancer Care - Help the Hospice - Carers Trust - Queen's Nursing Institute - NT Gardening Careerships - Parkinson's UK - Perennial and the Garden Museum. Old Bladbean Stud nr Stelling Minnis comprises five interlinking gardens created from scratch by the current owner who we met and discussed the thinking behind the design. There is a walled garden full of old fashioned roses, a white and a yellow garden, long lawn and Victorian borders stuffed full of roses, lupins, delphiniums, alliums, fox-gloves, grasses and organic vegetables and fruit. The whole site is self sufficient using solar panels, wind turbines, heat exchangers and rain water collectors and the site is organic allowing the plants and insects to form a microclimate and to self seed. Fabulous, fabulous garden and open throughout the year to allow viewing of the garden throughout the seasons. Add a fabulous tea with "happy birthday size" pieces of home made cake and a brilliant afternoon was had by all!

Sorry no close ups or macros as I was unable to bend?

I get the Studio Ghibli calendar every year (apart from 2 years ago when it sold out before I got round to ordering it), mainly for the nice artwork.

Some phone calls have so much static, people's hair gets affected...

I nosed around in a new building going up near the local airport. This would actually be a dream man cave if these were living quarters attached to a gigantic shop area.

Spending my day strolling through the old town by the Limmat river i wore my favorite Roberta Biagi jeans with studs at the bottom. The top by Love Culture which i bought during my stay in Miami has a great cut and can be worn on it’s own over a bikini as well!

As an aspiring freelance designer, I have begun working under the name of ‘Studio Element’. My vision for this brand was to keep it’s design simple, but effective whilst aiming to target a wider audience.

With the use of spot uav and colours, the concept has a modern feel whilst maintaining the vision of ‘simple, but effective design.

Coolest shoes ever!

There were a lot of these little silver-studded blues around this morning, it's always a treat to see them. I wish the wings were sharper but it was very breezy, not sure if that's the reason for the softness or if I still haven't got the aperture right (this was f/9). I did use flash to try and help stop the movement. Taivas was on the lead, which was also a bit of a hindrance to my efforts!
