Cockpit design inspired by Pascal's Bubble Cockpit v3.
Done in Studio.
We had a Flamenco Dancer at our recent Camera Club Meeting so I had my first attempt at cutting and pasting her into a more appropriate background than the Studio at the Bellhouse Club. Really pleased with the effect. The fan she is holding in her right hand was a right so-and-so to properly remove the original background from as it had LOTS of little holes in it.

this is a studio which i built out above a photo studio in chicago. it was an awesome space to do work. sadly the photographer did not want to renew our lease, so everything is now in storage.
Some new work from a couple weeks back. This was a unique shoot where I was contacted by an experienced and talented makeup artist to bring a theme to life. This was our first look, a simple, high-end, glamourous bridal look - I think it turned out quite nicely.
As I mentioned this was a bigger collab than usual - we had hair, makeup, a model and a dress (which the model's employer, a dressmaker, very kindly supplied). The look was great and I'm really happy with how things turned out. We were hoping to publish the images in a magazine/online publication but it didn't quite work out. Oh well, try again in 2025!

Finally!! The studio remodel is complete - Yay! Now more room to work, more storage space, bright lights and my own friggin' desk with enough room for my puter. Thanks to IKEA for all the shelving and storage caddies. I'm cheap, so I got the desk from Craigslist for free! It's in perfect condition, just needed a little Murphy's Oil Soap and a black marker to hide a few minor dings that happened when we tried to move that sucker, and she's as good as new. Thing must weigh close to 200 pounds. It's decent quality wood, not the typical Walmart self assembly kind. And for free too!! Setup my color Laser Printer that I got from Amazon. If you're looking for an inexpensive laser printer, I would recommend the Samsung CLP-415NW (www.amazon.com/gp/product/B008HSIW20/ref=cm_cr_ryp_prd_tt...) It's inexpensive and prints out beautiful color images.
from a day spent at nuca, got to use a pretty sweet camera...
we got shown different lighting set up, then could take a photo in two of them! this is backlit with a blue light, and from the left a yellow gel on a soft box.
want to do some more studio work I think!
I went to select and pick up some shots for an ad campaign at Mohammadkhani's photography studio in Shariati, Tehran.
First pic of new studio, as you can see it is very much under progress. We should be ready to shoot in a couple week. I am so much waiting for this to get ready...
It is located @ Oulu, and will available for reasonable day fee for others. For more info, contact me.

I found this vintage file box at an antique store. It sits in my studio and I fill it with all my favorite things. Thank you to my sister who snapped this artistic photo for me!
2/28/11 I don't keep regular sketchbooks, but I think I should be more diligent about taking snaps of things I'm physically "sketching out" in the studio.
I took this fashion photograph in a studio with a Nikon D3000. Here I adjusted the lighting so that it surrounded my subject, therefore creating less of a shadow, and then softened the shadow further on Photoshop by using the dodge tool.
For this image, I wanted to represent my subject's personality through her clothing and expression, and did this by giving her certain clothing and props that I knew would represent her. This included my subject wearing a Rihanna leotard - I found this particularly great to use as this woman is my subject’s idol and inspiration, and this was a great way to show this to my viewers. As well as this my subject wore red sunglasses, was holding a red lolly, and had red hair - I used this particular colour to show off her persona, as it represents fierce, feisty yet loving and warm emotions. To sum up all of this, I then requested that my subject did a number of facial expressions, so that I could capture her more naturally, and I found this particular shot represents her well.
I angled the camera slightly down on the subject as I wanted to slim the subjects waist and have more attention from there up, which I believe I have done successfully. I have also managed to frame my subject in the most of the image, and by placing her slightly into the right thirds, have created a positive image - showing more of the side the model is looking toward.
Finally I edited this photograph on Photoshop by adjusting the contrast, levels, colour and sharpness of the image. By doing this, I was able to make sure my subject stood out against the background, and then as already mentioned, used the dodge tool to soften and erase the shadows. I then used the burn tool to darken any areas that were too light, in particular the leotard, making the image clean and fresh. The last stage in the editing of this image was to slim the waist and legs further, and I did this by using the liquefy tool and dragging certain areas of her body.
I love this shot! I love the big husband dress shirt, belly button ring and the baseball! Perfect!
This looks great in the slideshow on black!
