080808 CAFfeine piece in progress
My piece is finally coming to life.
The first step was to clamp two ends of wire rope. Trust me this proved to be much harder than one would expect.
Next I bathed the undergarments in Polycrylic and as you can see in the photo above hung them to dry. This process is being repeated several times over several days in order to get the fabric stiff. (For the final piece the briefs will be hung in order by size & the bra placed last on the far right.)
When satisfactory stiffness is achieved I will begin 'bronzing' all of the garments and the clothesline. Then I will add a 'patina' finish.
Note to Crowd: Several times my hair brushed against the Polycrylic but I don’t think it mattered. *wink wink nudge nudge*

These are some old photos, but they were from an Industrail Design, Design Communications class. This was my first time in the studio learning how to do product photography.
