We were on our way home tonight and saw a HUGE cloud of black smoke streaking the sky north of Vauxhaul. Decided to drive abit closer and low and behold it was just a field of stubble being burnt off. It was already getting darker but I decided to see if I could get some shots.
One of four shots of the burn I posted last night

Stock Doves coming down into a stubble field and probably finding the corn left from the harvest coming down into a stubble field and probably finding the corn left from the harvest
A shot looking over the hedge up at the farm at the end of Egg Lane. I actually took dozens of photos on my walk in the gloaming and am still going through them, deleting many and am finding it difficult to choose which to upload.
The rise and tree branches obscure the cooling towers of Rugeley power station in this shot. They can be photographed higher up from the lane. I might even post one of my shots of them when there's more time!
