Lake Doxa on a very rainy day...

New glasses, haircut and some awesome bed head meant it was time for a self-portrait. This was shot in my bedroom with window light. Just a 50mm f1.8, tripod and cable release. Minimal processing in Lightroom 4.1.

reluctant model for india ,she is getting to the age now that she wants to havea go behind the camera..supervised of course..

I first got them when I was 19 because I never got enough sleep. I'd go to bed at midnight and get up at 3am to work as package sorter at UPS (awesome job. highly recommend it to younglings). Then, I'd come home after my shift, take a shower, and go to school. I did that for 3 years and these lines became etched on my face.

I think laugh lines enhance the expression we do with our eyes. Sometimes I'm afraid to look people in the eyes because I feel like they'll see too much. But I'm working on that. I'm working on a lot of things.

I could barely keep my eyes open. Drank a bit too much wine last night. Today I have a fun photoshot (involving a basketball court and some "make shift" players), followed by a great, intimate show with Over the Rhine.

After all these years, I still love Hipstamatic for iPhone. I think this is the Watts Big Up film & lens. Love the random sticky tape borders that arrive.

Oh, and it's face mask day! I forgot that last week.

Chalk Farm Road, Camden, London

Yesterday and today this eagle had been finding a snack. It was there before I left on an errand and when I came home. I forgot the camera and it was too far back for the cell. I decided to get the camera and go back. I kinda figured it would be gone but nope it was still hanging around. It decided it wanted to move as I parked but wasn't that close.

Seriously... When was the last time you rubbed mud into your face on purpose?

Me. Pic turned out how I had imagined.

A field between Micheldever and Stoke Charity, Hampshire

Start your shaver and watch it closely. It will throw some of yesterday's stubbles back at you. For a few days I had this image in mind, and figured how to create this shot using just household items. Here it is.

Shot with slave flash, bigger one through a semitransparent Coroplast board, smaller one farther away and direct. Backdrop is the inner of a fleece jacket over the back of an office chair. This is the first shot, with shaver out of focus, but the most particles dusting out. Later shots had very few particles, maybe because I took the pictures upside down, shaver hanging from tripod and flash angled from below.

Rollei 35S

Some interesting results from my 'new' Nikonos II which doesn't always wind-on the full frame. I managed to get 18 useable shots from a 24 exposure roll. Focus is a bit hit and miss too, but can be razor sharp when I get it right. Despite these problems, using the camera is an absolute joy.

Been busy for a while, so behind on my 365.

Anyway, here's me. Canon EOS 600D, speedlight mounted on cam, light above behind, body flash angled away.

Hello again, Flickr.
