Shot near Central Park.These are the actual colors on the structure.I just enhanced them a little.I don't exactly know which street I took this shot,but between 59th and 79th streets there are many old mansions that once were owned by some of NYC elite from the 19th century.Some of them have been converted into embassies and museums.Most of the museums are strewn along 5th Avenue between 82nd and 104th streets in what is known as Museum Mile.

Town Hall - the first building of the fourteenth century, it was probably a wooden structure. During the great fire in 1541, was destroyed and rebuilt in the shape of a two-storey building with two towers. In the nineteenth century it was rebuilt: In 1827, pulled down one of the towers - north. The elevation developed in neostylowych forms referring to the Gothic and Renaissance, tower crowned with crenellations. In the basement are oldest preserved elements - stone and brick barrel vaults: cross-ribbed and starry.

Ratusz – pierwsza budowla z XIV wieku, była to budowla zapewne drewniana. W czasie wielkiego pożaru miasta w 1541 r. uległ zniszczeniu, odbudowany w kształcie budynku dwukondygnacyjnego z dwiema wieżami. W XIX wieku został przebudowywany: W 1827 r. rozebrano jedną z wież – północną. Elewację opracowano w neostylowych formach nawiązujących do gotyku i renesansu, wieżę zwieńczono krenelażem. W piwnicach zachowały się najstarsze elementy – kamienne sklepienia beczkowe oraz ceglane: krzyżowo-żebrowe i gwiaździste.

The New Synagogue on Oranienburger Strasse in the district of Berlin-Mitte is a building of outstanding importance for the history of the Jews in Berlin and an important architectural monument. It was inaugurated in 1866. The remaining part of the structure is a listed building.
It was once the largest and most important synagogue in Germany and today is not only a place where Jewish life is practiced, but also a popular tourist attraction.

Today's Sunday is national mourning day, in Germany a public holiday to commemorate those who fell in the Second World War. therefore with these pictures I include the memory of the fate of the Jewish fellow citizens who were inflicted so much suffering in this period and who have an infinite number of deaths to mourn.

Die Neue Synagoge an der Oranienburger Straße in der Spandauer Vorstadt im Ortsteil Mitte von Berlin ist ein Gebäude von herausragender Bedeutung für die Geschichte der Juden in Berlin und ein wichtiges Baudenkmal. Sie wurde 1866 eingeweiht. Der noch vorhandene Teil des Bauwerks steht unter Denkmalschutz.
Sie war einst die größte und bedeutendste Synagoge Deutschlands und heute nicht nur ein Ort, an dem das jüdische Leben praktiziert wird, sondern auch ein viel besuchter Touristenmagnet.

Volkstrauertag
Der heutige Sonntag ist Volkstrauertag, in Deutschland ein Feiertag zum Gedenken an die Gefallenen des Zweiten Weltkriegs. deshalb schließe ich mit diesen Bildern das das Andenken an das Schicksal der jüdischen Mitbürger denen in dieser Zeitperiode so viel Leid zugefügt wurde und unendlich viel Tote zu beklagen haben mit ein.

Now in a state of picturesque decay, Denbigh Asylum (aka North Wales Hospital) was actually abandoned relatively recently, closing its doors in 1995 after 147 years of service.
Constructed between 1844-1848, the hospital served as a refuge for Welsh-speaking mental patients. Originally designed to accommodate about 200 patients, it was expanded to alleviate overcrowding in 1899 and eventually was home to as many as 1500 patients.
The hospital has been vandalized and looted since its closing, and plans had been made to demolish the historic building to make way for 280 new homes and businesses, but these were never completed. In 2008 the buildings were featured in an episode of “Most Haunted” and later the same year a devastating fire broke out, causing more damage to the aging structure. Today, its fate is uncertain.
Clevedon Pier, last of the summer weather. If you look really close mid centre at the bottom of the scene there is a gentleman who obviously loves the sun. My opinion only, just a little too much sun can be dangerous!!!
