Regardless these models are awesome if you're into scifi military stuff, they're like a mix of star wars stromtroopers and kerberos panzer cops, they've got a nice range of figures, I've ordered their infantry and accessory sets but they're taking forever to get here

I'm participating in vignweek hosted by RebelLUG, a contest where you have to build a vignette every day for a week. The theme for the sixth day is to build a Star Wars crossover with another theme. My secon theme is How I Met Your Mother, so here's my entry!
Way back in July I entered my build Astronaut Footprint in a contest held by General Electric on Instagram and Twitter. The winner was to receive a pair of Limited Edition (I believe only 100 pairs were made) shoes based on the footwear worn by the Apollo 11 Astronauts.
I won the contest.. kind of. GE and I were unable to come to an agreement on the release of rights on the build and image so we parted ways and I did not win the contest or the shoes. It was unfortunate, but keeping the rights were more important to me than a pair of metallic shoes I would have never worn anyway.
So, in spirit of the almost win I made Stormtrooper Bob a pair of chrome moon boots, which he proudly wore for this photo.
Broke the troopers out of the closet ENJOY :)

An Imperial Stromtrooper outside of Star Tours at the Disney Hollywood Studios. It was a close call but he let me pass by and I disappeared into the queue. He knew better than to mess with somone holding a Canon 70-200.

Stormtrooper Bruce has tried before to get the guys to exercise and things did not go as planned. Although it's Movie Night, STB has come up with a new plan he hopes will be better received this time.
TK-1110: Well, we do appreciate your enthusiasm and obvious concern for our wellbeing … But...
TK-432: Dude! No offense, but if we wanted to exercise we would be going to the gym, but our daily duties make going to the gym rather redundant. It’s the weekend and we just want to chill and relax
STB: You mean you just want to be slugs.
TK-1110: If the shoe fits.
TK-432: And I fail to understand how this ridiculous ball is supposed to keep us in shape.
STB: You're supposed to catch them with your HANDS. They are weighted to keep us fit and trim.
TK-432: They are weighted all right. I think I may have a concussion.
TK-1110: Don't even think about tossing that other one to me.
STB: You two can't humor me for 15 minutes?
TK-432: I don't see anything humorous about this at all.
TK-1110: Actually, you do look pretty funny with that thing on your head.
TK-432: Har-dee har har.
STB: So I guess you're not interested in the amazing fruit tray I prepared for tonight either?
TK-1110: We might be. As long as you promise a double pepperoni pizza with extra cheese & sauce will be arriving later?

One of the many interesting photos of this training camp for stormtroopers (near Saint-Pierre-Bois). These soldiers have a rare branch camouflage to match the forest region of the Vosges. There is also a grabenmagazin.
I lean towards the middle of 1916. This series of postcards, although commercial, remains difficult to find because of the interest it arouses: camouflage, anti-tank grenade, gas masks or grabenpanzer.
There are several different shows:
- the first in photo
- the second with a legend (anti-tank grenade...)
- the third is really typical of this series, it is a slightly brown matte photo paper. These photos also have the particularity of having a slightly wavy edge as can be seen on my copy.
- the fourth composed of specimens captured and reproduced by the Americans

I have a lot of projects going on right now which is not leaving me any time to build so there will probably be only Stromtrooper photos and drawings for a little while. I am looking forward to a little break to get back to building in the near future!

But, Luke stayed behind for a second.
Luke: ...Goodbye, father.
He looked at the ghost of his father, who stayed silent...
Ghost Anakin: ....
It suddenly faded...
Luke: ...
Luke shook his head, confused, before getting onto the ship. However, suddenly, several Stormtroopers appeared on the scene, along with Darth Vader!
Vader: Where is he?! Could have sworn he was here!!!
Vader stabbed an Ewok in the chest!!!
Ewok 1: *Ach!*
Stromtrooper 1: You are now property of The Galactic Empire!!!
The Stormtroopers blasted their rifles on the Ewoks!

PANEL TWO, Tatooine (still 5 years ago)

Snoke Retsam was a citizen in Tatooine... He had irrational philosophies, believing that as long as you try hard enough, you own anything you take. He was a large scale thief, basically. He also didn't care much for most people. On this day, he stood in the cantina, thinking...
Snoke: Where's Wuher?
Bartender: He's come down with some sickness, stayed home.
Snoke: That's too bad...-
Snoke was interrupted, surprised by the sight of a large, purple portal on the wall...
Bartender: Huh? W-...What ya' lookin' at, mate?
Snoke: Y-...y-you don't see it?
Bartender: Have you gone mad?!
It seemed the bartender didn't see the portal... Snoke walked forward, and walked into it...
PANEL THREE, Strange realm (STILL 5 years ago)

Snoke saw 4 figures before them...
Snoke: What the?!
El Fess: We are The Knights of Ren... We have been on a quest to find someone to be our leader for centuries...
Count Hikke: And it seems you're fit for the job...

Snoke: H-How do you know my name?!
Krawl Mare: We know many things...
El Fess: Things that are stuck useless, with no master too guide us...
Count Hikke: We need you to be our leader.
Darth Agony: Too become the next Kylo Ren.
El Fess: Please... We shall grant you unlimited power...
Snoke: Hm... Unlimited power, you say?
He paused for a second, then nodded...
Snoke: I accept.
A blast of red energy appeared around Snoke, forming a costume around him...
Snoke: Agh-... What the-?!
El Fess passed Snoke a black lightsaber...
El Fess: The blade will slowly fade, when you become ready to go on and become your next stage... A Supreme Leader.
Krawl Mare: And you shall pass down the mantle of Kylo Ren onto your apprentice...
All of them except Snoke took a knee, and spoke at the same time...
All 4 of them: We now pronounce you.... Kylo. Ren.
Snoke smiled...
PANEL FIVE, STILL Strange Realm (STILL. 5. YEARS. AGO.)

They all stood together, looking over a hologram of Endor...
El Fess: Our first order of business is too kill Darth Vader.
Kylo Ren/Snoke: Vader?! He's dead!
Count Hikke: He made everyone think as such...
El Fess: But he's out there. On Endor.
Kylo Ren/Snoke: Hmm... Alright...
He turned on his lightsaber...
Kylo Ren/Snoke: Let's take him down.

Studio say around 5,3kg (184oz) so I needed a strong frame on the middle. That's why there's no room for a hallway with stromtrooper, rebel scum and Lord Vader. So instead I try to recreate two others scene. The top panel can be easily lifted for an easy acces to the inside.
On this side there's Leia recording her famous message.
There is not much room inside, actually if you don't bend Leia the roof top won't close properly.
I understand why TLG put desk inside for some set even if it was never seen on screen, it's really easier to mut a sitting minifig than a standing one.
In the middle of a freakish snow storm, they stil had to advance towards the front. So in the dark of night they pushed forward.
A nice copy of this well known photo. It is on this third of the series that the doubts lie. The standing soldier without a sturmgepack can be seen as an instructor but this is more likely a real situation as he is still wearing a gas mask and the place of the photo in the series has to be taken into account. There is real continuity in these 20 photos.
There has already been some discussion on Flickr about the spoon the soldier is carrying in the foreground so I found it interesting to show an official variant of the Bufa photo with the famous hidden spoon.
Its use will probably remain a mystery: it can range from gluttonous to the useful tool for screwing in or removing pins.
Caption in the Hoffmann series :

This series gives me something to grind. 2/3 seems 100% real assault but 1/3 looks like training. I have ten of these images out of the twenties that make up the series (from 10580 to 10599). I lean more for the assault in real situation because of the image with the French prisoners or the bombardment of the city.
Location still unidentified. The only thing certain is that it is the third "Bataille de l'Aisne".
