Two Imperial Sandtroopers begin a venture on a Desert Planet to scout for a suitable place for an Imperial Base so that the Empire can set up a Planetary Base Shield Generator. They have to scout three sights and report back.

Not all Stormtroopers did so badly after the fall of the Empire. TK-754 now owns a moderately successful washing machine spares supply business on Coruscant.

At a reconnaissance mission these AT-RTs are leaving a trail of dust in their wake, visible from afar. Not so sneaky.

Don't you hate it when your hair doesn't do what you want it to?

Another movie night and the guys are having to wait yet again for Stormtrooper Bruce to finish his final calendar photoshoot that he’s doing to raise credits for the P's Find the Droid campaign next year. And, if they can just keep their mouths shut to avoid interruptions, maybe just maybe he'll finish up early so movie night can get started.

STB: Don't worry guys, we're almost done here. I started early because you two always find something to complain about, and then my model gets upset, and then things get a little cray cray.

TK-432: I have no idea what you're talking about.

TK-1110: Me neither. And I'm not complaining but that just looks goofy. I can clearly see the sticky stuff you used to attach those mini figs on his shoulders!

STB: Not to worry. You're forgetting what a genius I am at photo shop. This is going to look amazing.

TK-432: You say that every time.

TK-Tempted: OK, I've looked over my left shoulder and my right, how many more shots could you possibly need?

STB: You're doing great. I just need you to now look adoringly at that piece of cake. It's calling to you. You want it desperately but know you shouldn't.

TK-432: Wait a second. Isn't that our cake for tonight? Is he really going to eat that? Edible props aren't allowed are they?

STB: Guys, really? We're working here.

TK-1110: You know, I understand why you're doing this - anything to help the cause. But I'm so glad you're finally done with these! I hope you won't be doing this again next year. Just saying.

STB: Honestly, I'm still undecided about what I'm doing next year.

TK-432: Uh oh. I find your indecision greatly disturbing. Just saying.

I saw Rogue One last Thursday at 7:00 PM (Opening Night about a week ago) with my buddy Nathan and I absolutely LOVED it! My friend and I sadly made a few mistakes while we were at the theater, such as waiting until after watching Rogue One for the free poster, to find they were all out by the time we got out of the movie (I was actually so disappointed to the point where I ordered the poster from Ebay, haha), both of us each buying the huge popcorn and pop (which was much more than we could indulge), and not saving our seats...Yup, we were stuck at the VERY FRONT, but it was still fun. In the end it was a good time and I still enjoyed the experience. The reason this review is so late? One reason is I was really busy due to school, but I officially got off for Christmas Break yesterday, so that's not an issue anymore! The other reason was me wanting to wait a week so that as many people were able to see it as possible before reading my review. Alright, anyway...Let's just jump right into this! (SORRY THIS IS SO LONG)

(Review Starts)

This movie was amazing. I honestly enjoyed Rogue One so much more than The Force Awakens. I was geeking out so hard throughout the movie, but I can't tell if that was just because I had a friend with me or not. Now if you go back and read my Force Awakens Review, you'll see that I praised it and said it was the best movie ever made. That was a year ago and my opinions have since changed on the movie. I love it, don't get me wrong, but it isn't as high up for me anymore, I was honestly just fanboying that there was a new Star Wars movie. Rogue One felt new, fresh, and exciting, which is hilarious to say because The Force Awakens was in a time we had never seen before, and Rogue One takes place right before A New Hope. Rogue One is currently my second favorite Star Wars movie, right behind Revenge of The Sith (yes, you read that right). I'll have to make an official Star Wars Movies ranked picture, ranking all the Star Wars movies, but for now let me tell you why I loved Rogue One so much...

The Story

I feel like this Star Wars story was definitely a story that needed to be told. After watching this movie, it gives a whole new light to the beginning of A New Hope. Most people say this movie started out slow, and in a way it kinda did, but I didn't notice it as much as other people. I liked how they did something different and had flashbacks in a Star Wars movie to show some of Jyn's backstory. Loved seeing how ruthless the Empire is and how Krennic had Lyra killed and Galen taken away. Having all of the characters meet eachother along the way and form a team by the end to fight, is classic and works really well in this. This story is ultimately about teamwork and sacrifice. We get to see the designer of the Death Star, Galen Erso (Jyn's dad) and how he purposely put the weak spot that we see in A New Hope into the Death Star's design. This fixes the whole "How come the Death Star was destroyed so easily and how come the Empire overlooked this design flaw?" that fans have been complaining about for years. This was a very satisfying answer. The Rebellion in Rogue One is a little bit more harsh and drastic and this lets everyone see that even the "Good guys" can sometimes do questionable things and push the limits. This is great because the Rebels are TECHNICALLY terrorists, if you really think about it...

Rest In Peace, EVERYONE. Literally every single new character died by the end of the movie, but I really liked that they did that. It gave a sense of danger and made this movie have stakes and gave off so many emotions to the people watching. It showed that with a rebellion...There is a price to pay, and there is hell. This was very dark and gritty (For Star Wars), and felt like a war movie at times, which is great because it is Star WARS after all. There was some humor (Mostly on K-2SO's end), but it was there when it was needed, it wasn't forced and there wasn't a huge abundance of it, and I felt it was perfect. (I also want to note that I thought the new ships and vehicles/Imperial troop variants were fantastic and great additions to the universe and actually fit in and make sense despite not being in the Original Trilogy.) Oh, and that space battle over Scarif...Woah, that was cool. One of the best space battles in Star Wars to date! Loved that shield gate too, its something new and unique.

The Characters

The characters in this movie were great, I loved every single one, the only problem was that we didn't get as much time to fully flesh out each character as we probably should have, so I sadly didn't get AS attached to them as I would've liked to. Jyn was a good lead character. Tough, smart, and mischievous. Felicity Jones did a wonderful job, and I was so glad that cringy "I rebel" line from the trailers wasn't in the movie. The scene with her listening to the hologram message from her father was excellent and filled with emotion. Cassian is a rebel, but one who sometimes takes drastic measures and has a bad history with the empire. Him chosing not to take out Galen was a great moment. Jyn and Cassian embracing eachother before death was such a well done scene. I'm glad they didn't force a love story or have them kiss. We got a hint there could've been something, but that is all. K-2SO stole the show though, he's one of my favorite Droid characters from Star Wars, even better than BB-8. He's a smart-ass reprogrammed Imperial droid, what's not to love? His death was one of the saddest in the movie, but he went out like a boss! Chirrut and Baze made a great team, they had amazing chemistry between them and I really want to see more on their backstories. Chirrut's scene when he beat up all those stromtroopers on Jedha was so awesome, Donnie Yen is brilliant. It was a breath of fresh air not having a Jedi, but someone who believes in the force on a spiritual level..."I am one with the force, and the force is with me." Saw Gerrera wasn't in this much, and Forest Whitaker's performance was a bit weak and I wasn't a fan of the voice, but he had some good dialogue and I was overall glad he was in this. We have a conclusion to his character, and I can't wait to see him on Rebels later this season to explain what happened to him before Rogue One. Bodhi Rook was an Imperial pilot who defected, I always love to see stuff like that. I enjoyed his character too, and I'm hoping to get a book on him explaining his time in the empire and his defection. Director Krennic was actually a really decent villian and I sorta felt bad for the guy...All he wanted was recognition for his work on the Death Star. (It's ironic how he gets destroyed by the very thing he helped create.) The tension between him and Tarkin was fantastic. Oh yeah...TARKIN! I was surprised to find out that everyone was disappointed by CGI Tarkin (and Leia)...Are you serious?! When I was in the theater I was absolutely amazed...It was SPOT. ON. to Peter Cushing...They brought him back to life! Not sure if I should be astounded or scared at how good Hollywood is getting at CGI human characters...Darth Vader wasn't in the movie much, but he didn't need to be, that would just be fan service honestly. Let the new characters shine. When he was there...HE. WAS. THERE. Most people didn't like his first scene, or his "Don't choke on your aspirations, Director..." line, but I loved it! The scene was perfect and I liked the line of dialogue because I felt like even though it may have been cheesy, its something that Anakin would've said.

The Locations

I was in awe of every single location in this movie...Lah'mu (Where Jyn, Galen, and Lyra were living), the space trading post (or whatever it was called), Jedha, Eadu, Scarif, and being able to see Yavin 4 and Mustafar again! Lah'mu looked so interesting and different with the dark and cloudy skies, the rocky landscape, and the tall grass fields. Jedha has so much mystery to it with it having such a strong Jedi history. We even see old Jedi ruins and old Jedi statues. I have a feeling just by the name of the planet, that in the new canon this planet will be the birthplace of the Jedi. I'm calling it now. Scarif is absolutely gorgeous! A tropical planet is something very much welcome into the Star Wars universe. Can't wait to play the Battlefront Scarif map, its gonna be awesome! Even though Jedha and Scarif are still technically there, their surfaces are f*cked. I can't wait to see what other stories come out of those planets, maybe some Clone Wars era ones, who knows...

Callbacks/References/Cameos

This movie respects all aspects of Star Wars. There were obviously a huge amount of Original Trilogy easter eggs, references, characters, etc...but there were also a few Revenge Of The Sith, The Clone Wars, and Rebels ones as well. To name some...We get to see Mustafar again, where Darth Vader apparently has a secret fortress. I think that is pretty darn sweet and fitting if you ask me. We also see what looks to be a Clone Turbo Tank, but an imperial version. I think we also see Coruscant in one of Jyn's flashbacks (in the background out the room's window) but I'm not sure. Saw Gererra from The Clone Wars makes an appearance, which was awesome considering this was our 1st animation originated character in live-action form. It made me happy to see Mon Mothma and Bail Organa in this movie, especially since they (in legends) were the ones who basically started the Rebellion. They were also played by the same actors who played them in the prequels, which I appreciated. Bail saying he needed to go to Alderaan is something I really wanted to see in this movie, and it happened. It was depressing to think about, but it was necessary. From Rebels we see Chopper for a split second in the Yavin Base, The Ghost during the space battle over Scarif, and on the loudspeaker in the Yavin Base, "General Syndulla to the hanger" can be heard, obviously referencing Hera from Rebels. I guess she eventually gets a promotion! At least we know Hera and Chopper will still be alive and kickin by the time of A New Hope...Not sure if I can say the same for the rest of the Rebels characters. We will just have to wait and see. Cornelius Evazan and Ponda Baba from the cantina scene in A New Hope briefly make an appearance while our characters are on Jedha and they bump into them. I didn't mind these cameos because Evazan does have a death sentence on 12 systems, so he certainly gets around. Why not have him be on Jedha? In the visual guide for Rogue One it further elaborates how he was there experimenting on corpses that were dismembered or decapitated and turning them into working cyborgs. In legends his character was this "mad scientist" sorta guy, so this all makes sense. Then there's the two cameos I felt were absolutely forced and unnecessary...C-3PO and R2-D2. Literally only 1 second of them, which makes it even more unnecessary. I guess they had to keep their streak of being in Every single Star Wars movie...

Vader Scene/Ending

Hmm...Am I forgetting something? Oh...You didn't think I would forget about that EPIC Darth Vader scene/movie ending, did you? Ho-ly...SHIT. One of the best scenes ever in Star Wars. Darth Vader...The most well known villain ever...kicking ass and slaughtering a group of rebels. What more could you ask for? This is something me and fellow Star Wars fans have been waiting for for forever and it paid off! The sense of urgency with the rebels trying to escape with the plans and sacrificing their lives for that very reason was brilliant. Darth Vader felt terrifying in this scene. The music during it was pretty epic too! Then we get to see the Death Star plans delivered to Leia, something else I really wanted to see. Yet again, they did a fantastic CGI job with A New Hope Leia. No complaints there.

Movie Rating

I'm giving Rogue One a 9/10. This is exactly what I want from a Star Wars movie. Fantastic stuff. Well done Gareth Edwards...Your hard work and devotion really shows. What are your guys' opinions? Did you like it, did you dislike it, are you in between? Feel free to post a comment letting me know!

On another note...I can't believe Christmas 2016 is so close! I'll probably post a photo on Christmas Day, but until then...That's all for now! Take care, everyone. :)

"Nope, apparently those aren't the droids we're looking for either"

Custum Figure : Starwars Ver.

Chapter 12- The Siege: on of my all time favourites of the successful Disney+ series STAR WARS THE MANDALORIAN and finally I can present to you my newest addition to my building series, but first, here is the story behind this build:

[…]

Later, Djarin travels with Karga, Dune, and the Mythrol on a silver landspeeder through the lava flats of Nevarro. Karga explains that the base is powered by a reactor. Dune's plan is to infiltrate the base, overload the reactor, and escape the base…

The group are attacked by stormtroopers and a gun battle ensues. Mythrol helps Din, Dune, and Karga take down the advancing stormtrooper patrol. Djarin realizes that he has to retrieve the Child. Dune advises him to head back first on his jetpack. The other three flee through the corridors but are pursued by more stormtroopers. Cara, Karga and the Mythrol eliminate these stormtroopers and fight their way through the base. Meanwhile, Djarin fights through more stormtroopers, taking them down. He flees into the reactor chamber and rockets his way out. Reaching the surface, he takes out three more including one who plunges into the lava flow.

With the Mythrol's help, Dune and Karga reach the shuttle bay but are cornered by more stromtroopers, who have exited a turbolift. Dune gets the others to cover her while she commandeers a Trexler Marauder. She evacuates Karga and the Mythrol. After finding one exit blocked, Dune drives the cruiser over the shuttle bay and lands on top of the Mythrol's silver landspeeder, crushing it in the process. As the three escape, they are pursued by a squad of scout troopers riding 74-Z speeder bikes. Some of the riders crash their bikes on the rocky lava fields below but three of the riders manage to track down the Repulsorlift vehicle.

Karga uses the Marauder's laser turret to exchange fire with the scout troopers, taking one of them down. However, the remaining two scout troopers ride their bikes beside the Marauder and fired into the cockpit. Dune manages to crush one of the scout troopers and his bike using the Marauder, eliminating him. However, a second scout trooper manages to climb onto the armored vehicle and attempts to plant a grenade. However, Karga spots him and uses the laser turret to blast him to shreds.

Four Outland TIE fighters escape the Imperial base before it is consumed by the lava explosion. The Mythrol cheers and Dune says they are headed home. The TIEs fly above the canyon, homing in on the Trexler Marauder. Karga vows to take care of the TIEs and fires at them and the rocks…

My 32 x 48 build shows a mixture of speeder bike chase and TIE Fighter bombardment inside the rock canyon. For the trexler marauder I got inspired by Papaglop (FX M (@papaglop) • Instagram-Fotos und -Videos ) so the main features are the same but for example the complete back and the turret on the marauder are self-designed. Like in the reference a scout trooper wants to damage the tank with a grenade on the top of the marauder, but this is no good idea with Karga on the turret.

I hope you enjoy my newest addition to my STAR WARS THE MANDALORIAN Season 2 building series and of course I want to know what you think about the creation, so please share your opinion in the comments below.

With the holidays quickly approaching, Stormtrooper Bruce has very little time to get his quarters decorated. And what better time to do so than Movie Night when the guys will be there. But this time he's planned a little something extra.

Stormtrooper Bruce: Lord Vader, so pleased you could make it on such short notice, knowing how busy you must be these days.

Vader: I must admit when I received your invitation I was more than a little skeptical, but then decided to just show up and see what you're up to this time?

STB: Just trying to get a little holiday spirit going. And speaking of spirits - here, have a hot cocoa. I added some coffee liqueur to make it more interesting!

Vader: Sounds like just what I need. Can you believe the Emperor left the ship in the middle of his security upgrades to take his sister and her family on an extended holiday. And he left me in charge of everything. Everything!! These upgrades have been pure agony!

TK-1110: Well, you are second in command, aren't you? And you're in charge every time he leaves, aren't you?

Vader: Great Galaxy! Of course I am. But this is different. It's like he knew these upgrades would be a nightmare. Some new fiasco every day! I'd rather face a field of asteroids than deal with those, those, oh never mind. Hand over that hot cocoa and nobody gets hurt.

STB: What? Did you just make a joke?

Vader: It's been known to happen. Watching Palpatine's nephew keeps me on my toes. Jokes come in handy.

STB: We'll, at least with the P and his family gone there's no nephew to pop in unexpectedly.

Vader: True. But Paplatine also put me in charge of Holiday Alley this year, and that stinking Bake Off. I even have to come up with the prizes this year.

TK-432: Wow! This might be the best year yet!

Vader: But if I do too good a job he might put me in charge of it for now on. And if it sucks, he might blast me with those lightening bolts of his.

STB: So it's a lose lose situation. And here I was thinking you officer's all had it easy. "sigh" Well, sit back, relax, enjoy your hot cocoa. Pizza's coming later if you want to stay.

Vader: You know, I think I will. But I still think you're up to something.

I wanted to try and create one that captured the feel of some of the longer blasters, like the ones carried by some stromtroopers or by some of the clones during the prequel trilogy.

The BH42 is a left-over of previous wars. While not the newest, it has aged well. Remaining a reliable and powerful heavy blaster, it is favored by smaller militias and rebel groups as a stand-in for more conventional heavy blaster emplacements, being more suitable for guerrilla tactics due to mobility.

"You got to get that blast door shut, Dia!" Ta-shia cursed in quiet tones, "Damn Stromtroopers will be around again on patrol, soon!"

I’ve been playing a lot of Battlefront 2 and I got inspired to make some upgrades stormtroopers. Also the Spider-Man Far From Home trailer game out today and it looked really good!
