This is an extreme close-up (as they would let me) of a Monet painting of some water lilies. It is on display in San Antonio in the McNay Museum.
Monet is one of my favorite artists (Dali being my absolute favorite). This was part of a series called Water Lilies, and was painted circa 1916-1919. He painted many of these as practice, and this is from one of those.
What is great about the McNay Museum is that you can take photos (without flash), and can get up to "12-18 inches" away from them. The guard got nervous on this one and thought I was closer, but I wasn't- 15 megapixels and a good, stable lense helps a lot.
Just a shot of the engine on my KTM 250SX. Taken while we were on a ride in Clear Creek BLM area, near Idria, California. We were scouting old mines.
It was a great ride, until......
Just a thought....always remember to bring your spark plug wrench and an extra plug if you go on a long ride with a two stroke! I didn't! I knew better, too. The day went downhill quickly!
A stroke of yellow in a purple cloudy sky.
It's hard to realise that sky can be purple coloured until you make photos like this. WB here is set to Daylight/Sunny, which is as neutral as neutral can get.
Twenty members of the Toronto Triathlon Club came out for our second Swimming Skills Clinic at the North Toronto Memorial Community Centre pool. Ayesha Rollinson (ITU racer and TTC swim coach) and Kyle Smerdon (2000 Olympic Team member) provided stroke analysis and led us through stroke improvement drills.
